The Town of Bethany Beach is hosting a Labor Day Parade starting at 12pm & Fireworks at dusk on WELLINGTON🚒🎆

*🚧Due to fireworks, WELLINGTON stand and beach access will be closed on SUNDAY 10/6🚧
Wellington seasonals can pick up their equipment @MAPLEWOOD

‼️🚨ALL SEASONALS LAST DAY TO OBTAIN EQUIPMENT IS MONDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH!!🚨‼️

Post Labor Day Plans:
9/8-9/9: Open on CEDARWOOD ONLY
9/10-9/13: Open on CEDARWOOD & HOLLYWOOD ONLY
9/13: LAST DAY OF SBS SEASON

We survived another amazing (and hot) Fourth of July!!!

Come get your umbrellas and chairs from any open stand from 9 a.m to 5 p.m!

Please be kind to our strong and amazing staff during this busy heatwave. They are working so hard to make everyone cool and comfortable!

All weekly and seasonal rentals should pick up their equipment on the streets they have rented from - we cannot guarantee your rented equipment on another street!

Wellington Pwky will be closed due to firework preparation - all weekly and seasonal rentals can pick up their pre-paid equipment on Oakwood and Ashwood.

Season Update!!

After being hopeful for a Memorial Day Opening Weekend we were met with Mother Nature’s other plans…

A weekend with ⛈️heavy rains 💨high winds 🌊higher tides 🌊and dangerous surf made for unsafe conditions to allow our team to get equipment out on the beach🛻⚠️

And with that followed by a week’s forecast of more yucky weather we had to make the decision to postpone for the week😵‍💫☔️🌀

Just know we are just as disappointed as you are BUT to ensure the SAFETY of our team and business we have decided to
‼️OPEN FRIDAY MAY 29TH @ 10AM‼️

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time🫶🏻🫶🏻
We are excited to see you all out there on a sunny beach 🤞🏽🌞

Tried to get by with wishful thinking…
unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans😪☔️🌧️

🤞🏽Fingers crossed the sun will soon return🤞🏽

Until then we will continue to monitor beach conditions and ensure we have a safe and hopefully a sunny start to the season🌞🌊🏖️

🌀30SECOND RECAP: HURRICANE ERIN🌀

What a week!
For those who may have missed the action…This week we saw intense conditions from a Nor’easter AND Hurricane Erin🌀⛈️🤦🏼‍♀️

Long story short high surf of 10ft+ and extreme winds made for an interesting evacuation of securing the business. We are beyond grateful for EVERYONE who assisted & supported Team Steen in surviving this storm🫶🏼🫶🏼

Despite not being able to get the trucks on the beach, we managed to save all but 2 of our 50+ boxes & all of our equipment. Cannot quite explain the experience of rolling boxes against 40mph winds and aggressive tides, but somehow we managed to survive😅💨

NOW We rebuild!
The beach in Bethany has reopened…However minimal beach remains in majority of the town & without a beach we are unfortunately unable to reopen to our full capacity.

HERE IS THE CURRENT PLAN
Tomorrow Sunday August 24th we will be OPEN @ 9 at the following streets:
-FIFTH STREET
-OCEANVIEW PARKWAY
-MAPLEWOOD
-CEDARWOOD

*Please be mindful that inventory & staff is VERY limited. Stands are able to offer equipment ONLY at their street, equipment CANNOT wander towards the boardwalk regions.
