Tried SF’s newest and hottest coffee and matcha spot @q.specialtycoffee

This is one of the best matcha’s I’ve ever had

highlights:

⭐️ Go early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid lines

⭐️ Their coffee is sourced from Honduras, Brazil, Panama, Columbia - very fresh and fragrant

⭐️ Must get: the velvet matcha - so creamy, fresh and not overly sweet

SAFFRON MATCHA

inspired by @ranavat - this matcha is sweet, floral and so tastyy

Saffron is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that brighten the skin. And saffron is supposed to be amazing for stress relief.

tip: “milk” your saffron by adding 2-3 ice cubes with 2-3 strands of saffron in a cup

went through too many tins of expensive matcha before I realized I was making it wrong..

Hot water extracts harsh compounds from the tea making it taste bitter and destroys the sweet, umami nutrients like L-Theanine that balance the flavor.

- Use room temperature water when whisking your matcha to prevent it from getting bitter.

Using @giontsujiri_saryotsujiri ‘s matcha here

I will never forgive cafés that use 2 grams of matcha. healing from it slowly. 🍵

this is what 6 grams, whole milk or cream, light ice actually looks like.

I ruined so many tins of high quality matcha before a tea master in Japan told me the one mistake I kept making.

the fix? 75°C / 167°F. that’s literally it.

Using overly hot water burns the matcha and gives it that bitter taste.

Learned amazing tips like this while visiting @obubuteafarms

POV: You just found the creamiest drink flight on the planet. 🥛✨
If you think all milk tastes the same, Hokkaido milk in Japan is about to change your life. It’s basically liquid velvet. 🇯🇵
