Several years ago I had the privilege to share the stage with two of my hero’s in the Country/Western swing music world.
The great fiddler Rufus Thibodeaux, who was with Grand Ole Opry star Jimmy C. Newman for many years, Rufus wasn’t only a great Cajun fiddler, he was a great Western swing fiddler as well. I loved playing twin fiddles with Rufus. It ranked right up there with twin fiddling with the great Johnny Gimble, and the bluegrass fiddle legend Kenny Baker.
The other was The great steel guitar player Pee Wee Whitewing.
Pee Wee played for Hank Thompson, and was a awesome steel man, I have been fortunate to play with the best of all steel guitar men, like Leon McAuliffe , Maurice Anderson, Gene Crownover, Bobby Koeffer, Herb Remington and others, Pee Wee Whitewing ranked right up there with them all.

These photos were taken at a big Saturday night show at the famous Rice Palace in Crowley, Louisiana!
I was with my buddy James Talley, and was invited to play that night by Cajun comedian Murray Conke.
That ole fiddle has taken me all over the country and the world and introduced me to some of the most amazing people!🎻 by @steerbuster

Awhile back I packed my spurs, boots and chinks and headed South deep into the Mexican state of Guanajuato.
I visited Leon, the City of Guanajuato, Delores de Hidalgo, and San Miguel de Allende.
I took a all day horseback ride out into the canyons out side San Miguel on a big ranch, we cooked breakfast and lunch on a open fire and rode through some of the most beautiful country on this earth.
If you ever get the chance to see Mexico from the back of a horse, DO IT!🐎 taken in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato by @steerbuster

Here are some cool photos of me trick roping on my ole Longhorn compadre Tumbleweed at the Gene Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Los Angeles a few years back. One photo I’m pictured with the great silver screen Hollywood Cowboy Monty Hale and his lovely wife, and the other photo is myself with Mrs. Hop Along Cassidy, widow of the great silver screen Hollywood Cowboy Hop Along Cassidy!

This past week I had the honor of meeting with a legacy group of great people from the Muscogee Nation in Henryetta Oklahoma to discuss a wide array of issues from the development of a special Muscogee Nation cattle breed, to opportunities in the Regional Conservation Partnership Program within the USDA. It was an honor to be with these awesome members of the Muscogee Nation, who have dedicated their lives to Agriculture and building a brighter future for the Muscogee Nation.
Thanks to Senator Frank Shurden and his lovely wife Kathryn for making the meeting possible.z

Note: That new straw hat I’m wearing in is compliments of my good buddy Emilio Rangel at Double R Hats in Elgin TX!

Some folks here lately have asked to see some of my sculpting work. Here is a couple pieces I did awhile back.
The racing sculpture is of the great racing quarter horse stallion “First Down Dash”
I spent an entire summer in Bonita California working in the studio of the great western artist and dear friend Mehl Lawson to create the bronze.

The next one is a piece I sculpted called
“Snow Driven” there is a man horseback driving four longhorn steers.
I thought you all might enjoy seeing a couple of my art pieces.🤠 by @steerbuster
