💛 In Loving Memory of Stephanie Hall-Wilkins 💛

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Stephanie — the heart, soul, and inspiration behind Steer Friends.

Stephanie’s strength, joy, and spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the reason Steer Friends came to life — a place built on love, inclusion, and the belief that everyone deserves to shine.

Her legacy lives on in every smile, every milestone, and every corner of our community. As we grieve this immense loss, we also celebrate the incredible life she lived and the light she continues to bring to the world.

Another Markham Fair day in the books! 🎡💛

There was SO much to see and do, and judging by these smiles, we’d say it was a pretty great day! From the animals and exhibits to the midway, treats and everything in between, our crew had an absolute blast exploring the Fair together.

Community outings are always a favourite at Steer Friends, and days like this are exactly why. New experiences, lots of laughs and great memories made with friends. 💛

This is what community support looks like. 💛

Last night was the annual Legacy Fund Gala, celebrating the incredible generosity behind an initiative started by Mayor Iain Lovatt that continues to make a real impact right here in our community.

Steer Friends is incredibly grateful to be a recipient of the Whitchurch-Stouffville Legacy Fund. Their support helps us create more opportunities, experiences and meaningful moments for adults with developmental disabilities and complex care needs.

For us, that support also helps us continue carrying Stephanie’s legacy forward — creating the opportunities for others that Steer Friends was first created to give her.

To Mayor Lovatt, the Legacy Fund, its Board, and every donor, sponsor and supporter behind it — thank you for continuing to invest in our community and in organizations like Steer Friends.

What a Sunday morning 💛

Today GNL Leasing & GNL Classics hosted their 3rd Annual Car’s N’ Cannolis in support of Steer Friends and raised an incredible $2,100!

Peter Grande, Nick Grande, the Grande family and the entire GNL team have been amazing supporters of Steer Friends. We are so grateful to them, their sponsors and everyone who came out today.

These funds will help create more programs, experiences and opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities and complex care needs who are too often overlooked once they reach adulthood.
