- thrifted, black @fadedglory thermal/long-sleeve tee with grey lettering
- silver @truereligion rolo chain bracelet
- silver @edhardy pirate anchor pendant necklace
- thrifted, silver gothic skeleton pendant wallet chain
- off-white/ivory-coloured Vintage Western @edhardy belt
- dark blue, baggy @armaniexchange jeans
- orange low top @converse shoes
- sky blue, embroidered retro Denver @nuggets logo flatbrim cap
- green and yellow, @mongoosebikes Rad Attack, kids BMX bike

This outfit is completely curated by me but after assembling it together, I realized the similarities in style between the combination of clothes I subconsciously chose and two of some of the most prominent names in the fashion/music world. The two, I’m referencing being well known producer and DJ and more importantly the founder of BAPE, Nigo and one of the biggest names to come out of the first soundcloud era of rap, Lil Uzi Vert. I don’t think I could even properly articulate their influence in fashion as well as the music scene. I decided to go with the slim/loose fitting black thermal to contrast the wide-leg, baggy Armani Exchange jeans that I’m always wearing especially due to the wash of the jeans corresponding well the grey lettering on the shirt. I chose this vintage, ivory coloured Ed Hardy belt with red, orange and green coloured artwork to match the orange chucks seen above with one tongue revealing the red lettering on the inside. The red accents on both those items to match the ones on the retro Denver Nuggets logo flatbrim above. The green mongoose bike that I used to ride to school back in 7th grade was chosen to go with the background of the photos while it compliments the outfit well while being an ode to both Nigo and Lil Uzi’s involvement in bike/skating culture in terms of the clothing they wear. Overall, I think this look was a great combination of early 2000s baggy skatewear and mid-to-late 2010s streetwear.

God Save The Queen 🇬🇧

muse: Vivienne Westwood
model: @ian.10ii

🧬
- mint green @viviennewestwood collared shirt
- mint green, coral & pink floral print @gucci supreme canvas monogram belt
- black + blue ‘old skool’ @vans sneakers
- dark blue, baggy @armaniexchange jeans
- thrifted black & gold @armaniexchange watch
- thrifted gold bracelet with pink clovers
- thrifted silver hoop earrings
- bleached blonde hair

This outfit is inspired by my intuition of what pieces go well with each other but influenced by the ideals and beliefs of the legendary late Vivienne Westwood. Her impact in the UK when it comes to the world of fashion and punk music, specifically the Sex Pistols is self-explanatory. Diving into this outfit, I decided to go with a clean VVW polo with the orb and rings of saturn logo on it. This shirt is easy to match due to it’s colour and the colours on the VVW logo on it. I decided to pair the shirt with the baggy ripped Armani jeans and the black and light blue old skool vans with a white midsole. The light blue on the saturn rings of the VVW logo on the shirt correspond to the light blue pattern on the vans while the white midsoles and silver cross on the VVW logo go with the slight rip n distress of the jeans. Speaking on the jeans, these were chosen to replicate the style of Vivienne Westwood’s baggy ‘drunken jeans without having the actual look of of them. The blonde hair, of course, is also an accessory to the outfit as it creates a needed contrast to the whole fit while matching the gold GG belt buckle, gold bracelet as well as the gold on the Armani watch. As for the floral belt it obviously matches with the mint green shirt but that’s more so of a no-brainer. Vivienne’s ideals when it came to fashion were non-conformity and rebellion and it’s shown in the impact she made on both the punk and fashion scene with the likes of the Sex Pistols. I tried to replicate a bit of her beliefs while adding my own individuality to it. R.I.P Vivienne.

Young Mi$fit 🦋

inspiration: Ian Connor & Playboi Carti
model: @ian.10ii

🧬
- black and white striped, oversized @stussy long-sleeve tee
- thrifted straight fit, faded ‘green and grey tone’ camouflage jeans
- brown @louisvuitton belt with tan LV monograms and gold LV belt buckle
- grey @fengchenwang Converse Chuck Taylor All Star 70 His
- black and tan Christian Dior monogram scarf
- thrifted gold necklace with two rhinestone-studded cross pendants
- thrifted silver hoop earrings
- bleached blonde hair

This outfit is inspired by not only Playboi Carti’s first but also his mentor at the time and the person who molded his fashion sense during the Ca$h Carti era of his career and one of the main reasons as to why streetwear is where it is now, Ian Connor. His influence in modern fashion and culture is undeniable whether you realize it or not. Back during that 2014-2018 time period was when Playboi Carti was closest to people like Ian Connor, A$AP Rocky, UnotheActivist, Thouxanbanfauni, Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Mob and the entirety of the AWGE collective and it was quite evident in the clothes he wore. Diving into the outfit worn here now, I decide to go with a vintage stüssy shirt, this one being an oversized long-sleeve. It’s reminiscent to Ca$h Carti’s CDG black and white striped shirt and the black stripes do well to match the very subtle black undertones of the camouflage pattern jeans. I decided to go with the brown LV belt because the belt’s colour coincides with the earth tones on display on my jeans while brown is also one of my favourite colours to wear because I pull it off well with my skintone. Speaking of my physical appearance, I went bleached blonde hair to match with the brown belt, it’s gold buckle and the tan LV monograms on it as well as the gold necklace on my necklace. The shoes are a personal favourite high-top shoe of mine from Feng Chen Wang and his version of Chuck 70 His and they are to match the grey undertones on the jeans of course. This is one of my favourite outfits that I’ve had the pleasure of putting together. This outfit serves as a ‘time capsule’ to that era of fashion and music.

- baby blue @poloralphlauren dress shirt
- silver @edhardy tiger buckle black + multicolour belt
- dark blue, regular fit @armaniexchange jeans
- silver @chromeheartsofficial wallet chain
- red @stevemadden Dixon GATs (German Army Trainers)
- cream-coloured, checkerboard @Vans canvas tote bag
- silver @truereligion 8mm rolo chain bracelet
- two thrifted silver rings

This outfit is inspired by two of my favourite artists in their respective genres, diamond* and Lenny Kravitz. Diamond* being one of my favourite artists from the current ATL underground rap scene, let alone one of the best while Lenny Kravitz being one of the greatest black rockstars of all time. In terms of my physical appearance, my choice to rock the blowout afro and rings was inspired by a young Lenny Kravitz who also tended to wear tight fitting shirts similar to how you can see in the pictures of me posted above. In terms of the exact fit I wore ,this is essentially modeled of the diamond* fit posted above. The blue on the dress shirt I’m wearing corresponds with the blue on the jeans similar to how it is on Diamond*’s fit. Diamond* matches the shirt and pants with white Margiela futures in his fit while I decided to go with the red Steve Madden Dixon GATs (German Army Trainers). They are a great alternative to Margiela’s version of GATs which cost an upwards fo $800 while Steve Madden’s version costs around $100 while looking almost exactly identical. A small detail I love about this fit is the red GATs matching the polo player’s hat on the Polo logo on my dress shirt as well as the red on the Ed Hardy tiger buckle belt. This outfit does a great job of depicting my own steeze influenced by Diamond* and the essence of Lenny Kravitz.

tiger tango 🐅🕺🏾

- black @edhardy rhinestone tiger graphic tee
- silver @truereligion tiger pendant necklace
- silver @edhardy tiger buckle black + multicolour belt
- silver @truereligion 8mm rolo chain bracelet
- white @edhardy boxers with red ‘EH’ logo patterns
- lime-coloured thrifted @zara baggy cargo pants
- silver @chromeheartsofficial wallet chain with ‘8 ball’ pendant
- brown @ugg Neumel Leather Boots
- grey and Black cowprint @vans backpack

This outfit is fully curated by me and drawn from my own preference of clothing and creativity. Although, I do suppose you could say I drew the idea from the lyrics of a song called ‘DIE HARD’ by Che (lyrics posted above). First off, we start with the vintage Ed Hardy tiger rhinestone tee which matches both the multicolor Ed Hardy belt and the silver true religion tiger necklace. Despite me not being the biggest fan of rhinestones I still went with this tee due to the theme of the outfit, me liking the graphic and the amount of rhinestones on it not being an overwhelming amount for me. More so on the necklace, that was a choice due to the tiger theme to match with the Ed Hardy items as well as the silver wallet chain. The lime/yellow-coloured thrifted baggy cargos were to correspond with the yellow found in the tiger on the graphic tee and the brown ugg neumel boots were to match with my skintone and brown/hair colour. Overall, the fit isn’t too complex but depicts great colour coordination and proportions while allowing me to wear some of my favourite items in my closet (the cargo pants and the Ed Hardy belt) which are still in rotation today.

- St. John’s Bay gray henley button-up pullover
- thrifted, black, red and gray argyle sweater vest
- @wrangler dark gray denim jeans
- @calvinklein silver monogram buckle belt
- @jw_anderson women’s white converse sneakers
- @louisvuitton black and gray monogram crossbody bag
- thrifted red orb/silver bat necklace
- thrifted silver rings

This outfit was slightly inspired by my favourite artist from the UK, YT, and mixed with a bit of my own steez. Some of my favourite/statement pieces in this are the argyle sweater vest, grey henley, the LV bag and the JW Anderson chucks. The sweater vest and henley/under-shirt combo is drawn in inspiration from the outfit you can see YT in. Although, some might see a sweater vest and say it’s ‘performative’ and think it’s some sort of ‘female-pandering’ piece of clothing, I tend to ignore others opinions and put on what I think looks good on me. The red and white JW Anderson chucks are to complement the argyle sweater vest alongside the black and grey monogram LV bag. Funnily enough the choice of the LV bag, was not only because of personal stylish preference but an ode to YT lyrics posted above from his song ‘Put Your Hands Up.’ “Like a baddie, I just pulled up Louis purse.” A lot of my fashion choices come from the music I listen to and culture I absorb around me. Overall, I think this outfit does a good job of paying ode to the inspiration pictured above and is still a great fit even without the correlation.

- red vintage @stussy ‘NO. 4’ shirt
- thrifted leopard print scarf
- black and grey camouflage pattern @calvinklein jacket
- thrifted gold necklace with brown pendant
- black & gold @armaniexchange watch
- silver @truereligion 8mm rolo chain bracelet
- red, black and gold @truereligion boxers
- thrifted, heel-bitten white/grey wash jeans
- gold @truereligion buddha man buckle belt
- black @rickowensonline ‘DRKSHDW’ low-top ramones sneakers

This fit has a bit of everything to it in terms of eras where the items of clothing are from. Starting off with the vintage stüssy shirt to the leopard print scarf, the gold buddha man true religion belt and the low-top ramones, this look draws inspiration from many aesthetics. My two main inspirations for this outfit were Rihanna and Chief Keef. Both artists hitting their peak popularity around similar times during the ‘swag’ era were both known for their fashion sense as well as their music. Chief Keef being a huge fan and later on ambassador of True Religion after his 2012 hit ‘True Religion Fein’ and Rihanna being a huge fan of leopard print clothing throughout her entire career. Apart from the belt and the scarf, pieces such as the stüssy shirt and the ramones were not inspired by any other particular artist or person but solely handpicked by myself to style the other two pieces, despite them being statement pieces themselves. I think this outfit does a good job of showcasing the combination of artists I took inspiration from and putting it into one vintage/throw-back modern-day image of streetwear and is overall a great depiction of the steez I posess.

🧬
- thrifted, grey Jimi Hendrix graphic tee
- white bandana
- silver cross pendant and earbuds pendant necklaces
- two thrifted silver rings + rope/chain bracelets
- silver wallet/biker chain with pink afro pick and brown wooden cross pendant attachments
- reversible black/grey and brown @michaelkors monogram belt
- thrifted, green @eddiebauer corduroy pants
- white @drmartensofficial 1460 boots

This outfit is blatantly inspired by the late, great, pioneer of psychedelic rock, Jimi Hendrix. A man not only ahead of his time due to his timeless music but due to his eclectic and lively sense of fashion and his carefree and flamboyant personality and stage presence. The pieces that personify him in this outfit are the stacked necklaces, green corduroys, afro pick, doc martens boots and last and most importantly the white bandana pictured worn on the neck. I believe this outfit does an excellent job depicting the ‘rockstar’ sense of self Jimi Hendrix operated with and the disregard for traditional gender norms when it came to the clothes he wore in the time period he was in. His sense of fashion and overall steez was one of the propellers for the wave of people such as black youths, hippies and fellow musicians during the 1960s beginning push the boundaries of fashion past the assumed traditional expectations. This helped further promote and develop individuality and creativity in the fashion industry that is still seen and felt in modern fashion and mainstream culture. R.I.P Jimi.
