Here are some harsh truths I wish I’d known before learning to fly. Let me know some of your learnings from your aviation journey as well.

If you try to rush anything in aviation, it will bite you. Training, planning, flying, anything! Doing something quickly isn’t cool, doing something well, is.

The loudest voices are usually the most dangerous. Some advice you will get will be really bad. Learn to question what you hear, do your own research.

If you put 100% of yourself into your passion eventually you will hate it. Dont define yourself by one thing. Be an aviator, but be other things as well. Variety gives you perspective.

You’re not important! As an aviator you’re part of a system, work as a team and everyone wins. Ego will kill you, and others.

You can’t plan your way around failure. You will fave barriers at every step. Have strong plans but hold them loosely. ALWAYS be ready to divert. taken in Moorabbin Airport by @stef747

Been flying a lot this week, so what’s the one thing I miss the most when flying in remote locations? Obviously Lola my cat (see pic 4), but then after that? A good coffee. So any day I find a place that does a solid oat milk flat white (in a giant mug) before a flight is a good day.

Wow what an amazing flight down to Ballina started with going down to the brewery (which has amazing food too any pilots out there) too when we taxied into parking I saw it, it was crazy a registration I’ve seen once before at Moorabbin but never up close VH-EYZ @stef747 amazing cirrus sr22 used for all his amazing adventures!!! Thanks @isabellaa.macc for coming down to Ballina it was a vibe!!!
