POSTS STORIES REELS

Welcome to my IG page. I’m Stef Fox 🦊 a highly curious, ambitious over-achieving momma and business owner. My work is divinely appointed and it’s the reason I love it so much and pour so much into it.

Leadership in a beauty business is hard because your business is all about the people. People grow… your salon grows. And people bring complexity.

The work I do supports salon leaders and high performers who want to grow themselves and others. It’s about building the best careers you can dream up and helping others do the same.

And I think we’ve been talking about leadership wrong.

Leadership starts with relationship.

Then comes clarity. Expectations. Coaching. Development. Feedback. Accountability. Recognition.

And then we do it all over again.

But HOW we show up while we do it matters.

Presence over reaction.
Curiosity before correction.
People before performance.

That’s high-frequency leadership.

The Leadership Reset™ is here to help salon owners + managers become better coaches, grow better leaders and build teams people actually want to be part of.

If you’re here, send me a DM and say hi. Tell me what you’re leading right now. ❤️ by @stef_fox

I want you to feel good about leading.

Not because leadership is always easy. It’s not!

But my vision exists to help you feel more clear. More confident. More curious. More like yourself when you do it.

So once a week, I’m sending you a little love letter about leadership.

Something I’m learning. Something I’m seeing in my coaching. Something from my doctoral research. A question to sit with. Or something you can actually use with your team.

Short. Useful. And Human.

Basically, a weekly reminder that you don’t have to have all the answers to lead people well.

We spend a lot of time talking about what leaders should DO.

Have the conversation.
Hold people accountable.
Coach the number.
Set the expectation.
I’m much more interested in what happens between people while we’re doing all of that. 🤔

But my favorite conversations are with real leaders talking about what they did that didn’t workout how they expected, how they navigated the bumpy roads, what inspires them… and everything in between.

This is what we talk about on @steffoxpodcast

Relationship. Presence. Trust. Curiosity. Energy. The questions we ask. The way we make people feel.

New episodes every week for people who grow people.

I want a really full life.

The big dreams, the meaningful work, the financial freedom. The adventures with my kids. 😍
✅ The dinners at home.
✅ The strong body.
✅ The deep friendships.

The ordinary Tuesday mornings that somehow feel extraordinary…

And I want to be present enough to enjoy all of it.

I’m learning that ease isn’t the absence of ambition. It’s a different way of moving through life.

That’s the kind of success I’m interested in these days. by @stef_fox

Stop giving your team every answer. Ask better questions and give them room to grow.

Save this for your next coaching moment as the reminder you need that the answers don’t always have to come from you. by @stef_fox

In Vancouver tonight with @oribepro and some amazing salons. Let’s talk leadership frequency! 😍 by @stef_fox

We had some great laughs recording this one. I love talking to women who are in the thick of building businesses, raising kids , and still trying to show up for themselves. We got into how we ‘do it all’.

An incredible weekend away with the family in the Smokey Mountains. 🏔️ by @stef_fox

I spend a lot of time teaching leaders how to grow their teams. But something I’ve learned, in business and in life, is that you can’t pour everything you have into everyone else and expect to have something left.
Sometimes the most important leadership work isn’t another conversation with your team.

It’s recognizing when YOU need to slow down. When you need to get your own thoughts in order. When you need to spend some time with God instead of trying to figure everything out yourself.

The way we show up matters.
And sometimes becoming a better leader starts with becoming a little more intentional about the person we’re becoming.

What’s one thing you’re being more intentional about this month? Tell me in the comments 💭 by @stef_fox

One of the most important things I teach leaders is how to recognize and manage their Leadership Frequency™.

Because whether you realize it or not, your team is experiencing your leadership every single day.

Your tone. Your energy. Your reactions. Your expectations. How you handle the hard stuff. And how quickly you recover when things don’t go the way you planned.

And listen, you’re human.

You’re going to have frustrating conversations, disappointing days, and moments when you question why the heck you wanted to lead people in the first place. 😂

But here’s where the work comes in.

Just because you’re having a bad day doesn’t mean your team needs to have one too.

One of the first things we work on inside Leadership Lab™ is understanding your Leadership Frequency and how it impacts the people around you.

We learn to recognize when we’re leading from frustration, fear, or exhaustion and how to shift back into the kind of leadership that actually helps people grow.

Because the goal isn’t to never get frustrated.

It’s to become a leader who knows how to reset.

And when you get better at leading yourself, you get a whole lot better at leading other people.

That’s the work we do inside Leadership Lab™. Not just learning how to manage people, but becoming someone people actually want to be led by.

Our next Leadership Lab starts in January! If you’re ready to grow as a leader AND enjoy leading your team again, I’d love to have you join us.

Let’s talk real talk on life and business ownership. In this conversation with the founder of Meevo @meevobymillennium we got to talk about raising kids and building a business and it was so refreshing. I loved talking to a dad in professional beauty about what this looks like. Thanks @dakotajohnny for having the chat with me!
