POSTS STORIES REELS

Some performances never leave you—and this duet between Anthony Hope (Namit Sethi) and Johanna (Stefani Bartol) from our Engeman Studio Players production of SWEENEY TODD SCHOOL EDITION is one of them.

If you’re between the ages of 12–18 and watching this thinking “I want to do that,” this is your sign. There are still a few spots left to join Engeman Studio Players for CHICAGO: Teen Edition this spring and step into the spotlight yourself.

To register, call the John W. Engeman Theater box office and secure your place in the cast before these last spots are gone. by @stefani_lea

“Will Wonders Never Cease?” 💌

On August 4th, we closed the doors of Maraczeck’s at the Engeman theater for the last time. I can’t express in enough words (because I’ve maxxed out the Instagram word limit) my gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to be part of the She Loves Me this summer!

Endlessly thankful to @andyr_mcc25 , @ginarosalina , and @melissatettarapelje for believing in me to take on this role. Too many times throughout this rehearsal process did I feel totally lost and incapable, but your guidance and support has helped and uplifted me so much. Thank you for putting in so much care into ensuring everyone gave their best performance possible and pushing me to my full potential. 🙌

Abi, Kieran, Derek, Max, and Namit, the best clerks ever: getting to do this show with you all has been the best experience of my theater journey. Being able to share the stage with you guys has been such a treat, thank you for making a space where I felt comfortable to try new things and go out of my comfort zone.
And to dear friend himself, Jacob: thank you so much for being the best Georg I could’ve ever been Amalia with. I’ve learned so much from you as a performer, sharing the stage with you these past 5 weeks, witnessing how your dedication, confidence, and passion radiates through every performance you give. I’m so grateful to have been able to do your last show with the Engeman Players alongside you and witness your last bow, along with our other phenomenal seniors. I can’t wait to see you all thrive in college.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you everyone on this wonderful production. Getting the chance to be in the masterpiece of a show that is She Loves Me with this cast and playing Miss Balash has been the privilege of a lifetime for me and an absolute dream come true. I am so immensely grateful to have been able to share the stage with these amazing performers. She Loves Me summer has been the best summer ever. I love you all to the moon and back. 💗

Fond fare thee well,

felt extra sentimental about closing She Loves Me today, because it’s shows like these and roles like Amalia that remind me why I genuinely love to perform.

there’s nothing that brings me more complete and total joy than the indescribable rush of performing, escaping my head and letting go of my insecurities through playing another character, diving deep into their emotions and intentions, and analyzing every line of dialogue. But above all, I love the teamwork that comes with creating each show, seeing every part slowly but surely come together, and the deep friendships that are created through each production I do.

I’m eternally grateful to God to have been given this gift. It’s brought me confidence, happiness, and wonderful people in my life.
I want nothing more than to be able to spend the rest of my life sharing it with the world, because I believe with all my certainty it’s what I was brought here for. to inspire and to invoke feelings in people they’ve never felt, like it’s done for me. I live and breathe the arts. it’s all I think about every moment I have alone with myself.

Something I wanted to share and put out there for myself, and hopefully resonates with people! ❤️ by @stefani_lea
