Pan-Asian sketch night at the Society of Illustrators, hosted with usual flair by @aekieren. Stars of the night were the Burmese @emigrate_drag and Indian @tamashabhosle (pictured here in my drawing). I also had the joy of catching up with my old time sketch night pals Ed Marion, Cliff Faust, and the gorgeous Ellie Rahim.♥️

For the first time, I had the chance to attend a drawing session in Rome. La Porta Blu is a wonderful art studio tucked in the heart of the city, just steps from the Pantheon. The atmosphere was inspiring, and I had a great time meeting several Roman artists and working with Giuliano — an extraordinary model and a true professional.
Here are some of my drawings and studies from the session.

Now that another semester has come to a close, I want to thank each of my models for the generosity, professionalism, and artistry they brought to my class this spring. Their presence inspired my students and made every session richer, funner, and more energetic.
