MARFA
.
Quick trip to Marfa with @kristine_kekich last weekend for @artist.and.nomad ‘s screening of “Handmade Future” was actually life-changing.
.
In a world of Shein and Amazon, of microwaves and delivered food, of AI and scrolling and immediate satisfaction— I hope you slow down and support the craft of handmade goods. I hope you keep this vital connection to human hands and supporting the livelihood of amazing people across the globe. I hope you recognize that not doing so comes at a cost.

@carraanne ‘s bachelorette to Santa Fe was the most life-giving, soul refreshing, amazing time for an amazing woman. Loved these ladies and the intentional and hilarious time! Best bachelorette EVER.

2nd Anniversary Things. 💫
.
May 11, 2024. Thank you, Jesus, for this precious gift and the surprise of marriage.
.
A holy day to mark a new adventure in this short and glorious life. Friends present made it full of laughter and joy and knowing we had people to support and walk alongside us.
.
Hey @ryan.olsen1 — besties forever! So glad it’s you.
.
Also, massive thanks for all eternity to @logan__joiner for the STUNNING capture of all things May 11. It was an honor and a joy.

Happy Veterans Day to my day 1, @ryan.olsen1 !
.
You are generosity, kindness, and service before self embodied. I’m grateful every day for your presence and leadership you take into every room. Thank you for your service to this country and to all who are former service members! May we never lose sight of the sacrifice others have made before us so we can have the opportunities we have today.
.
Hug a vet and maybe pay for a meal today. Also, watch “In Waves and War” for a good idea of what many vets go through. ❤️

POV: you’re in Colorado 4th of July Weekend.
.
We played Nature Bingo and here’s what we saw: coyote mamma and her two pups ; wild turkeys (heck all these animals are wild) ; elk ladies (they were yelling at each other) ; deer (adult) ; deer (fawn) ; mountain ground squirrel ; chipmunks ; my hummingbird friends ; birds and some kind of owl/hawk (unsure, it was dark) ; rabbits ; and our favorite surprise, a BEAR galloping across the highway not far from our house 😳. Nature is neat. Oh, and we saw a million dog varietals in Pagosa when we went to town.
.
It rained the day we left Midland, and rained nearly the entire drive, and dumped on us after we arrived in Colorado. Blessings abound. The mountains are healing, I am convinced.

I guess @carraanne is the realest friend because she’s the only one back for our 1 year anniversary in Colorado. 😜
.
Enjoy the chaos of our 4 mile hike with lovely Pike’s Peak views constantly because we got lost along the way and then eventually figured it out and also met a pet lizard (?) of a very proud owner and a least a million dogs who live their best mountain life—oh and did I mention Pikes Peak plays hide and seek constantly? Also we did a lot of outdoor gear shopping because while I’m a big fan of cities and stylé, I’m also an outdoor girlie. Now excuse us while we go find a breweryyyy…
.
And happy anni to us, happy moving to CSprings for Carra, and happy Mother’s Day to the many phenomenal women out there. We are blessed to have you. ❤️
