@timbaland the GOAT, the Legend, the Mastermind, has an 80x60 portrait of my face in his home. I burst into tears when @timtadder’s assistant texted me a few months back telling me that Timbo bought this. I had to keep it a secret because this purchase was his personal business lmao. Words can’t express how much it means that such a renowned artist wanted my work in his HOUSE. Forever indebted to the incredible @timtadder for allowing me to serve as one of his muses. The woman pictured is Timbo’s girlfriend @_michelledennis, and I’m gagging because her IG avi is of her standing in front of my picture 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Edit: Happy Birthday @_michelledennis!!! One might think that modeling came naturally to me, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Acting did, despite me starting it second. Modeling was a challenge, and as someone who’s naturally good at a variety of things, I struggled with that reality for a bit. Taking a selfie or being photogenic has nothing to do with fluidity and posing. They have no relationship with knowing how and when to smize, when to tilt your chin to the slightest degree, or when to change facial expressions. As a tomboy, it was very difficult for me to be “soft” on camera. That was eventually rectified, as my first major booking was for a beauty client (as were the majority of the castings early on in my career). Now I can go from edgy to delicate in a fraction of a second, and not think twice about it. I remember my first acting class with @wendyactingcoach. I was preparing for my first spoken word performance, and she stopped me during one exercise and told me that I was a natural born actor. I just stared at her kind of awkwardly and said thank you. She was stern when she told me not to pit modeling and acting against one another, because they go hand-in-hand. I listened. She was right. I never believed I would end up modeling or acting. I never had the desire or interest to do either. Soccer was everything to me, and I grew up wanting to play professionally. I was always creative and gifted, but writing was my only constant in that respect. By 24, I had officially fallen in love with being on set. Now, I can’t imagine a life without it. I can’t picture a life where I don’t land dream clients, get signed to an agency that really gets me, or partake in a project whose impact stands the test of time. I think about my goals and endeavors literally every single day. For me, there is no Plan B, just constant strategizing and reworking the way I approach the tasks at hand. Looking back on my life, as chaotic as it has been, I know that all paths led to this pivot. The industry is an insane place to be, and to establish relevance and then sustain it is beyond difficult, but I trust God, I trust the process, and (most importantly?) I trust myself. by @stefparrott

Y’all know I will be anywhere BUT the gym since I left the NCAA many moons ago, and the @barrys UWS location has officially been added to one of my favorite places to get a workout in. Special shoutout to @_vinniesmith (featured) and Brady because they are my favorite instructors, and a special shoutout/thank you to @imanniicole and Dylan for being the kindest, most accommodating people running the show. Sometimes your flow state doesn’t consist of fancy tricks and inverts. Sometimes it’s simply a span of time where you’re fluid, free, and fully immersed in the moment.✨Getting back into your rhythm after a surgery is never easy, and although I’m not where I want to be, I’m so glad that I’m here. Spinning on my state-of-the-art @lupitpole in my living room has been an absolute dream. 🥹💕 Fun Fact: Wildflower by @billieeilish is one of my favorite songs to dance to, and that’s what was playing on my AirPods. by @stefparrott

I haven’t seen @iamdanarhone in almost 10 years, but (like he just said a few moments ago) it hasn’t felt like it. Dana was one of the first MUA’s I worked with when I started modeling. Oddly enough, that shoot resulted in us being on a billboard. 🥹 Out of all the times Dana has been to NY, he hasn’t been to Times Square, and when we made our plans he expressed that he really wanted to go. Like many (if not most) NY residents, I hate Times Square, but I wanted to make his experience extra special. Despite my aversion to the location, it didn’t take long for our outing to become the best reunion AND Sunday Funday ever. I linked with Dana with the sole intention of having a proper catchup and a good ki, but we ended up being treated like celebrities all day (shout out to IG-less Mike who took these fire pics of us), which only added onto the pre-existing delight of simply being in each other’s presence. Dana, I am so proud of you. I’m proud of your evolution as a gay man who goes above and beyond to de-stigmatize HIV and AIDS. I’m proud of your evolution as a creative. I’m proud of your evolution as a person who simply wants to leave this ghetto ass world better than they found it. I love you, and I am so excited to see how far Stigma goes. If I wasn’t allergic to latex, I’d FULLY be able to support your brand. 😂😂😂 Anyways, let’s not go another almost 10 years again, okay? And always remember, “Lavender is in!!!!” 😜😉♥️ by @stefparrott
