This year, I had the opportunity to become the Design Editor for our yearbook, and it became an experience I’ll never forget.

When the yearbook program was no longer offered during the school day, I joined the after-school club and eventually took on the responsibility of designing the entire yearbook. From September through May, I spent 100+ hours working on layouts, organizing pages, collaborating with others, and making sure everything came together on time.

It wasn’t always easy, but every late afternoon, stressful deadline, and long day was worth it in the end. I learned so much about teamwork, communication, time management, and believing in the work I create. Most importantly, I discovered just how much I love graphic design and visual storytelling.

Knowing that the yearbook will be something students, teachers, and families can look back on for years makes me incredibly proud. I got to help turn a school year full of memories into something that can be kept forever, and that means more to me than I can put into words.

This experience gave me more confidence in my future and confirmed that graphic design is something I truly want to pursue. I’m so grateful for the people who helped make this possible and for the memories, lessons, and friendships I gained along the way.
