.
SO ecstatic to have won 1st place this weekend at the Brimhall Cello Competition! 🥇🥹 It has been an amazing experience to bring @fazilsay ‘s incredible cello sonata to life. Huge thank you to a lifetime of great teachers for helping me get to where I am.

This piece is so fun to play and i am super excited to develop my interpretation, as it is really new. I have been listening to a ton of classical erhu music recently to better understand the mannerisms of the instrument, as this movement definitely is reminiscent of erhu. 10/10 would recommend giving the whole piece a listen!

Senior recital!!! (finally) 🩷✨
I can’t even express how special this recital was to me. I couldn’t stop thinking the whole time how much I love every piece I played. Brahms Sonata no. 2 was challenging but wonderful in every way to put together, and it’s probably going to be one of my favorite pieces forever.

Huge thanks to my pianist Whitney for always picking up the phone whenever I call about some new project or weird sonata. It’s one thing to play with a good pianist, but it’s a whole other thing to play with a good pianist and friend.

What a crazy four years @uofumusic . I am forever grateful to my teacher, John, and his constant support and belief in me, as well as all of the wonderful friends I have gotten to play chamber music with throughout the years. 🎻🎓🥹 by @stella_cello
