Not where my journey began, but where it became something bigger.

@oxygenacademyofdance wasn’t where my journey as a dancer started, but it was where I took the next step.

A step that challenged me, inspired me, and helped shape me into the dancer I became and person I am today.

@jenniferromen created something truly special: a place where excellence and quality were always the standard, while never losing the feeling of family. A place where people could grow, dream, and belong.

Over the years, I had the privilege of growing within the Academy and eventually stepping into the role of coordinator. I witnessed firsthand the blood, sweat, tears, passion, and relentless dedication that Jennifer poured into building this academy. Being trusted to carry part of that vision forward is something I will always be grateful for.

From daily training sessions to unforgettable productions at Theatre aan het Vrijthof (our home now!), so many memories were made. But above all, it was the people and the talent that made this place what it was.

Having the opportunity to guide and mentor young dancers every day has been one of the greatest gifts. Watching them grow, find confidence, and chase their dreams is something I will always cherish. It’s where my heart is, and where it will always remain.

The Academy is now coming to a close. A brave decision, and one I deeply respect. Sometimes growth requires making room for what comes next, not because what exists isn’t valuable, but because the future holds opportunities that demand your full focus, energy, and belief.

Jennifer, I’ll always stand behind you. But having had the privilege of standing beside you throughout this chapter means even more. The impact of Oxygen – Academy of Dance will never disappear. It lives on in every dancer, teacher, memory, and lesson that came from it.

This chapter may be ending, but @we.are.oxygen keeps moving forward.

And knowing the vision, the ambition, and what’s ahead, I can only say one thing: The best is yet to come and we’re ready for it ❤️ by @stelladonners

It took some time… but yes, we (Oxygen) made it to LA.
And what a journey it’s been. One that reminded me why I love what we do.

First things first: Jaïra, you incredible, hard-working, beautiful powerhouse.
Before we even left, I told Jennifer it felt like we were working with an Olympic champion.
And then you became one.
But more than the medal, it’s your strength, both physical and mental, that truly inspired me.
I’ve seen you grow, not just as an athlete, but as a person.
Watching that transformation, your focus, your resilience, your self-belief, has been one of the most beautiful things to witness.
You’ve shown what it means to stay grounded, to keep believing when things get tough, and to give everything without ever losing your light.

And that’s the magic of Oxygen.
A team built on connection, trust and a shared drive to become better. Together.
It’s not just about winning; it’s about showing up for each other, believing in the process, and growing side by side.
That energy, that unity. That’s what keeps me going every single day.

And Jennifer: the visionary who sees it all before it even happens.
You create space for others to shine, and somehow manage to keep us all together: focused, grounded, laughing through the chaos.
Sometimes it really does feel like we’re the moms of this beautiful, crazy, driven family.

This chapter in LA will stay with me for a long time.
It’s proof of what happens when passion, trust and purpose come together.
