**We are living in the last days — and it shows.**

This week marks one year since Charlie Kirk was assassinated. And instead of sober reflection, some are planning to *celebrate* the anniversary of a man's death. Around the same time, jurors from the Lindsay Clancy trial are speaking out about the pressure to excuse unthinkable evil with a "not guilty" verdict.

I sat with that for a while. And I thought about two other moments in Scripture that suddenly felt very present-tense.

Paul told Timothy that in the last days, perilous times would come — people would be lovers of themselves, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-4). And Jesus said it plainly: as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at His coming — when every imagination of the heart was continually evil (Matthew 24:37, Genesis 6:5).

We are watching those words play out in real time. Good is being called evil. Evil is being called good. And too many of us have quietly let the world reset our definitions without even noticing.

Here's the truth: you can control your thoughts. God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We are not called to rejoice over evil — we are called to depart from iniquity (2 Timothy 2:19) and let our light shine so bright that people are drawn to the salvation Jesus offers.

**"And let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." — 2 Timothy 2:19**
