A week to forget. by @stellakatterman

Today would have been my dad’s 70th birthday.
I always feel weird when it comes to this week every the year, a week when it’s my dad’s birthday and also his death anniversary (what a way to go 2 days after your birthday) but this year it’s felt weirdly more emotional with this big birthday.

I can’t help but wonder what my dad would think of the grown up I’ve become, and I wonder what my 20s would have been like without the grief and instability his passing has caused. Would I be a different person if he was still around? It’s funny how time can make you forget traumas and loss but they never fully go away.

So anyway happy birthday Papa 🤍 by @stellakatterman

Face planted at 20km, blood everywhere, locked out of my phone for 5 mins but got up and finished the run + hit every target pace + faith in humanity restored by the kind people everywhere concerned and helping + all teeth are intact.

Marathon training and 16 hour fashion week work days don’t seem to mix too well but this girl here is not a quitter and strangely even though mentally drained, legs felt great.

Now time to taper and smash @frankfurtmarathon in 3 weeks 💪🏻 by @stellakatterman
