Happy Mother’s Day to the best mom in the WHOLE WORLD. I know you think you’re not the best mom since you don’t act like a normal one lol. But that’s what makes you so special and a perfect fit for me. I could not have asked for a better mom for me. You’re so special and I know I can always talk to you and never have to hide anything from you. I love our special time and spending time with you. You are such a hard worker and someone I really look up too. You are the best mom I could ever ask for and I would pick you in every life. I interrupt the election anxiety to bring us back to what is in our hands…our legacy. I am so incredibly proud of my daughter and it was a huge joy to have her join me last night for the L’dor V’dor event with @jfedroc. After experiencing the events of October 7, 2023, firsthand in Israel, Stella felt a deep and personal calling to take action. Moved by love for her people and homeland, she chose to dedicate her bat mitzvah project to a cause close to her heart. Today, Stella presented a check for $36,000 to Israeli children her age who lost a parent while bravely defending the Jewish nation.

Every dollar was raised through small, heartfelt donations, one step at a time. Over the past year, Stella has built meaningful relationships with these kids, forming a bond that transcends distance and tragedy. She chose to donate the funds to IDF Widows and Orphans, knowing her contribution would directly support those families.

Watching her stand alongside these children, with compassion, strength, and purpose—I’ve never been more proud to be her mama. The kids have faced tremendous hardship, but more resilience and gratitude than I’ve ever witnessed. I am absolutely in awe! 💙🇮🇱 by @stellasavetsky

Lag BaOmer honors Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, whose teachings continue to inspire. It’s a joyful break in the Omer count, marked by bonfires, connection, and light.

For Lizzy and Stella, Shabbat prep is also about choosing outfits, doing each other’s hair, feeling festive for this sacred day while celebrating their beautiful mother and daughter bond.

Parshat Emor introduces the mitzvah of counting the Omer. Rav Kook taught that it’s not just about counting days, it’s about growing each day, turning the raw into the holy.
