The curriculum is ready today! The only real question is whether your students start this fall or wait until spring.

Clubs are free to your site. Training is included. The full curriculum is included! You bring a room where students can move and one to four hours a week.

Ten minutes to apply. Most sites launch about two weeks later.

Registration for the fall cohort closes soon. Link in bio. by @stemfromdance

🩰 A rehearsal is sequencing, pattern recognition, and problem solving inside constraints. So is an algorithm.

🔬 That parallel is the method. Students learn one through the other, in a room where they already feel capable, and it is why the curriculum was built with a research partnership with NYU Steinhardt behind it, not on a hunch.

Modules run from Afrobeats and AI to ChoreoGPT. Grades 3 through 12. Coding, engineering, and AI.

Most girls in STEM programs do not say they belong there.
In STEM From Dance programs, 76 percent of participants report belonging in STEM spaces, more than double the national average. That figure comes from our Impact Index, the participant survey we use to track the five indicators research links most closely to whether a girl stays in STEM. Belonging is the first one.
Here is what that number looks like inside one Club. Samantha joined quiet and stayed at the edges. Then her cohort took on a lesson called Going Viral, breaking down the videos they already loved to find the patterns that make content spread. She built choreography out of what she found. By the end of the unit she was leading the group. Her facilitator, Jamie, watched it happen.
Belonging is not a claim we make. It is something we measure, and it is the outcome we hold every site to.

She teaches dance in Brooklyn. Now her students also write code.

Jamie sat in the audience at a STEM From Dance showcase and left with a question: what would it take to run this herself? She brought the Clubs curriculum to her principal, walked him through the materials, and got a yes the same day.

Her first cohort was third- and fifth-graders. Together they worked through coding, AI, music technology, and the science behind a breakdance battle. In one lesson, Going Viral, the girls broke down videos they already loved, identified the patterns that make content spread, and built choreography based on what they found. A student named Samantha came in shy and finished the unit leading the group.

“I’m no more the sage on the stage,” Jamie says. “I’m the guide on the side.”

That is the mechanism. We train the leaders that girls already know and trust, and the capacity stays where the girls are.

Big ideas start with curious minds! ✨

In partnership with Apple, we brought together creativity, technology, and community at the Apple Genius Lab in the Meatpacking District for a series of hands-on workshops in Procreate, Photography, and Build Your First App.

Participants didn’t just learn new tech skills but developed their own BUCKYBALL!

We’re proud to have welcomed participants from Northside Center for Child Development @northsidecenter , New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) @nychagram and resident associations, St. Raymond High School @straymondhighschool , STEM from Dance @stemfromdance and more!

The fall Clubs cohort is open to educators, schools, and homeschool pods. We provide the curriculum, the facilitator training, and the materials. You provide floor space, devices for students, and Wi-Fi.

No dance background needed. No STEM background needed. The training covers both, and you are not running it alone.

At STEM From Dance Camp, girls spend three weeks composing music, designing backdrops, coding wearable lighshows, and building choreography — all complemented by the tech. Girls ages 8 to 18 wrote the sequences, prompted the visuals, wired the hardware, tested it, broke it, and fixed it until everything came together in the final performance.

Here’s how they did it, in their own words. by @stemfromdance

Every show has a team you never see from the audience.

While these girls were building light circuits, generating backdrops, and running rehearsals, @bklynorg was backstage with us, doubling every gift our community made this summer. Every dollar given walked in the door twice.

That match turns a donation into sharper tech skills, greater confidence in STEM spaces, more friendships, and a summer a girl won’t forget.

To @bklynorg and to everyone who gave: you were in the wings the whole time 💜

The moment the code finally ran 🤝

Every build starts on a board

They wrote the code that makes these light up 💡

Choreography built around the tech they made

Three brains, one build, no notes

Run it again, then again

That backdrop? They created it themselves🥳

Warm up is part of the engineering here

After three weeks of learning, creating, and rehearsing, our STEM From Dance campers took the stage to share their original choreography and digital backgrounds with family, friends, and the CSUDH community.

We are so proud of our campers. Thank you to the @csudhsite and the College of Education staff, our dedicated instructors, the inspiring women in STEM who shared their experiences as guest speakers, the families who supported their campers throughout the program, and @stemfromdance for choosing SITE at @csudominguezhills to host this incredible program.

Thank you for making this summer one to remember!

Ten days in at camp and these girls are building things 😎

Coding. Choreographing. Designing tech they’ll perform in. This is what it looks like when STEM meets something you already love: the kind of learning that lives in your body, not just your notes.

They walked in this month. By July 31th, they’ll take the stage with the technology they created themselves.

The best part is still coming. Showcase details soon! Follow along ✨

How was day one of Camp? See for yourself! 💜

These girls jumped right in and let us know they’re here to make this a summer to remember.

We heard lots of laughter, excited voices, feet stomping, hands clapping.

Plus our favorite phrase: “Oh, I get it now!” 💪🏾

We’ll be dropping lots more clips over the next three weeks. Drop us a ✨ in the comments so you don’t miss a beat!
