The secret to stipple shading isn’t speed.
It’s consistency.
Control your hand movement, build your dot density gradually and let the values develop over multiple passes.

Patchy black isn’t always a technique problem. Sometimes it’s the needle. 🖤
0.40 curved 11 Magnum, 3.5 stroke, consistent pressure across the skin. If a spot looks inconsistent, layer it again — coming from a slightly different angle each pass.

Stop drawing shapes with just your hand… let the needle do it. 🖤

That pepper shading texture isn’t random. 🖤
5mm stroke, voltage around 5.3, pack in solid black, then brush it out. The real secret: slow machine, fast hand. That contrast is what creates the effect.

Two tattoo line-work myths, busted in one video.
You don’t need a round liner to line — a round shader can hold a clean line too (proof above). And shaky lines aren’t a hand problem, they’re a consistency problem: speed, depth, and angle all need to stay the same start to finish.

Your shaky lines aren’t a hand problem. They’re a consistency problem. 👀

Speed, depth, and needle angle all need to stay the same from the start of the line to the finish. Change any one of them mid-line and you’ll see it in the result.

(And yes, this is a round shader, not a liner. Consistency still holds the line clean.)
