Fun climbing weekend at Movement Baker where I fell in love with foam rolling again and then did a quick 10 minute cardio circuit on the rower air bike and ski erg and then a 40 Boulder problem no breaks arcing kind of thing maybe. Sunday we went to the Nederland farmers market then to Boulder Canyon’s Avalon tier two. Sent Constant Gardener 12b first try this year and worked out the hard moves on Fapanese Direct 12c ready for a next time send then its on to Earth Angel for a 10 year repeat. I wasn’t upset about struggling on a route that was a full number grade lower than my red point grade because I had a blast trying the crux 4 different ways and ended up doing it very similarly to the way I was trying it on the go. Projecting is such a different beast because you are rapid firing a hard boulder problem on a rope and once you get through you have the power endurance piece getting to the chains. All in all great training days. Finished the afternoon at the Porchfest on Mapleton Hill with friends and family then back home for a sun bathing and cold plunging session before dinner. Couldn’t have asked for a better end to my summer sabbatical. taken in Movement Baker by @stensland79

Can’t believe this plank bridge worked. Didn’t love the auto-cut but it’s all the time I could give. by @stensland79
