It’s the thing no one wants to talk about. The taboo. It’s the conversation no one wants to have. The stigma. It’s the phone call you weren’t prepared to receive, with the news that someone you love is gone. We search for reasons why… we think about all the things we could’ve done to stop it, but in the end, the pain was too much, and the burden too heavy to hold. Life is fragile, and mental illness is real. Su!cide is the second leading cause of death for youth and young adults aged 10 to 24. The suicide rate for men in the United States is nearly four times higher than the rate for women. In 2025, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline’s state contact centers received 4,336,016 calls—a 12% increase over 2024.
What does this mean? Raising awareness and funds through non profits such as American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) @afspnational are crucial. They’re funding research, education, advocacy, and support for those affected by suicide.
This is why we have the hard conversations. This is why we walk.
Remembering the radiant lives of our loved ones this month, gone too soon, may your light shine bright, and give Hope to those who need it most.

This is motherhood. 🍈🍈
I fed a tiny human from my body. Ouch, WTF!
Boobs are food; sleep is scarce; motherhood is different than I ever could have conceived in my wildest imagination!
When he was born, so was I.
We both left the hospital in diapers for Christ sake! I’m hungry and tired and I cry from time to time haha, see I am still growing up!

That first photo of me leaving the hospital is the first picture of me as a naive, new, mom entering the world with the most insane experience of my life only hours ago! I was still high on oxytocin and adrenaline I hadn’t slept in days… I had NO idea that labor and birth would be the easy part! 🤣😭😅😂

The constant “on-ness”, constant worry, constant checklists, constant consciousness of a mini you roaming outside in the big, bad scary world! Caring with every cell of your body what consistency their poop is!

Life is a dance.
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow.
Sometimes with a partner or group, and sometimes solo.
Sometimes I forget the choreo.
But that’s what improv is for.

7 Years married…10 years together!
I guess we’re doing something right, because we sure have a whole lot of receipts after being together soo long!
I knew you were the one, I could see us having a family together;
I could imagine myself getting wrinkly and grey with you, even though you got yours early lol;
I knew we had everything in common, and that I would not grow bored of you; something I struggle with, but you understand.
I knew you’d make my life more beautiful, and if we joined our forces, I knew we’d make this entire life of ours the most beautiful thing on Earth;
Then Lennon was born…
So yeah, I guess we’re doing something right!

Happy 40th Birthday MONTH Babe!

We couldn’t let this milestone squeak past us this year!
Although we are still sleep deprived, and barely keeping our heads above water most days, there’s literally no other person I could imagine doing this life with!
You’ve leveled up oh, I don’t know, like 100xs in the last year, becoming not only the father of my child, but one HELL OF A FATHER, might I add! Doing the one income tango(talk about some scary shit!); AND promoted twice back to back with two different title changes at In N Out…
Who is this guy?
He’s our guy, and we love him soo much!

My only notes when talking to Jose @serysiendo were,“take close up’s of Lennon, and capture all his baby-ness” 🥹😭 and he did not disappoint and we love him!🫶🏽
Grateful to capture these moments with Jared…new parenthood is no mfing joke!
And, not all smiles and playtime!!
Flipping through them I can’t help but reflect on how hard this past year was, but in a different way kind-of hard…Feeling equally proud of us, and so proud of this beautiful little baby boy…

October has been way too cute to handle. Do I have a Halloween costume? No. Any Halloween parties? Naw. But, making pumpkin bread for my Pumpkin has been more my speed recently.
I put the pumpkin outfit on Lennon from when he was a newborn hahaha, needless to say, I was surprised he fit it! With Lennon finally walking a bit, I’m thinking we’ll try out Lennon’s trick or treating skills, see what he can score for his dad!🍭🍫🍬 by @steph_monique
