5785 — as this year comes to a close, I reflect on the beauty and challenges it has brought. Nothing compares to the overwhelming joy of being pregnant and discovering its twins, a true double bracha. Yet at the same time, I’ve grappled with the pain of having an ill parent. It’s a strange and humbling dichotomy, to experience such profound joy & deep sadness side by side…to feel so full of hope while also so helpless.

A huge shoutout to my Mom, who despite her illness, insisted on being with me during the last stretch of my pregnancy and the beginning of postpartum. Watching her care for me, when she barely had the strength to care for herself, is something that words cannot truly capture. Mom, thank you. I love you endlessly. I only hope to be even a quarter of the mother you have been to Eric & me.

Please continue to keep Liliane bat Aliyah in your prayers for a full & speedy recovery, we need all of your tefilot.

Hashem, thank you. Because everything comes from You, the greatest Creator of all. For better or worse, all that You give us is for our ultimate benefit. My prayer for myself, my family & for everyone going into this new year is: to find the strength and acceptance to always wholeheartedly receive all that Hashem sends with love, even when we can’t understand His ways. Because despite it all, Hashem loves us so fully & completely.

It should be a truly blessed new year for us all—a year filled with genuine happiness, good health above all else, clarity and peace of mind, physical and spiritual wealth, acceptance, purpose & success in all that we do. Shana Tova Xx by @stephaniedadon

Mom, you were iconic. Happy birthday my angel 🕊️

I wish I could tell you these words in person & like always, say, “AD 120!!” I’d give anything to get to say it to you one more time.

It’s your first birthday with Hashem & I don’t really know what a birthday is supposed to feel like when the person you’re celebrating is no longer here. I just know that today is still yours. & more than anything, I wish you were here so we could be celebrating you together.

I miss you in ways I still don’t have words for.

Ima, wherever you are, I hope you know how deeply you are loved, how painfully you are missed & how lucky I am that I got to be yours.

Happy Birthday, Chaim Sheli Ima 🤍 by @stephaniedadon
