Happy birthday to the Baby of us all, my little sister, Anna! She is tiny, but mighty, she’s a little more quiet, but fierce, she’s intensely loyal, one of the hardest workers you’ll ever meet in your life, and she has spent the majority of her life serving others as a nurse, and a business owner. Taking care of people’s fur family, as if they were her very own! She met the man of her dreams, and it’s so incredible to watch her now married, living her life.
So with a full happy heart, I wish my baby sister Anna a happy, happy happy happy birthday and hope you have a doggone good one!!!
PS you sure are catching up with me, you’re gonna be in your 50s while I’m still in my 50s… OK but you’re not there yet so whatever, go grab your progressive so you can read this as Ashlee says ha ha ha ha 🤣 by @stephanieejohnson

JESUS ISN’T ON THE BALLOT!

Read that again. Let it sink in.

As a Pastor , I’ve always believed it’s not my responsibility to tell anyone who to vote for. Republican, Democrat, or somewhere in between, that decision belongs to YOU.

But here’s what I WILL say. As we head to the polls, don’t vote against someone simply because you don’t like them. Don’t vote for charisma, personality, or flash. Look at the policies, the character, and what/WHO that person actually stands for.

For me, that means weighing those things against the Word of God. Do they align with my biblical values? Do they reflect Kingdom principles? If not, maybe it’s time to take a beat and prayerfully consider why I’m supporting them.

At the end of the day, I want to know I voted with conviction, integrity, and a clear conscience.

And can we PLEASE put down the hate and judgment? I have friends on both sides of the political aisle, with different beliefs and lifestyles, and guess what? We get along just fine! We can disagree without being disrespectful. We can speak truth in love, encourage one another to examine our fruit, and still extend grace. We are not the judge and jury. God is!

Recently, Russ and I had the opportunity to meet Colorado gubernatorial candidate Victor Marx. A local pastor had invited BOTH candidates for one simple purpose: prayer. No campaigning, no political speeches, no agenda.
Just an opportunity to cover those seeking to lead our state in prayer.

P.S. Had Phil Weiser, the other candidate been there, we would have taken a picture with him too! Why? Because Scripture tells us to pray for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1–2), whether we voted for them or not! (go ahead and read that part again too)

Vote with conviction. Love without conditions. Extend grace generously. And remember, regardless of who wins an election, JESUS is still King!
