Thank you again everyone who came to my music video debut. This project was unexpected and it was a lot — emotionally, technically, and emotionally again. It meant so much to show it in such a special place and to share in all the breaths, tears, and wings ཐི༏ཋྀ taken in SAIC MacLean Ballroom by @stephanielenwar

I’ll be graduating with my MFA at the end of the month! In addition to my thesis showing, my music video, “As the Dust,” on July 18, I’ll have one little piece hiding in the galleries amongst the works of my cohort. I’m truly awed by the incredible artists I’ve gotten to share this journey with these past two and a half years. Come out and see 💫

Two years in the making. My first music video, “As the Dust,” debuts 7.18.2026 at the MacLean Ballroom 112 S. Michigan, Chicago at 3:30pm (doors open 3pm).

It will be followed by talk and discussion with @markjosephjeffery, Q&A, reception with light refreshments, and a special little takeaway for guests. Free and open to all.

This is a story about grief, love, and creating from the ashes. Starting grad school coincided with a period of great loss, and I struggled to make anything for the longest time. And then one night, as if from a breath of air over the lake, this song came to me. It became the first song I’ve produced, the first music video I’ve made, and my thesis project. I feel more of what it means every day.

Subscribe to my YouTube channel @StephanieLenWar and SoundCloud Stephanie LenWar where the song will be posted if you can’t make the debut and to stay up to speed on future releases.

Special thanks to:
