ITS MY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

To every version of me that brought me here… 🤍

Today, I celebrate you.

The little girl who dreamed without knowing what life would ask of her.
The teenager who was still learning who she was.
The woman who made mistakes, loved deeply, started over, got tired, found her way back, and kept becoming.

I celebrate the versions of me I am proud of, and even the ones I struggled to understand.

The woman who didn’t always get it right.
The woman who stayed when she should have left.
The woman who left when staying would have cost her too much.
The woman who gave too much.
The woman who learned to give herself some of that love too.

I choose to make peace with all the women I once was.

To lay flowers at their feet.
To forgive them for what they didn’t know.
To thank them for surviving what they couldn’t yet understand.
To honour them for carrying me this far.

Because none of them were wasted versions of me.

They were all becoming.

And today, I choose to extend myself the same grace I’ve so freely given to others.
To love myself a little softer.
To celebrate myself without needing everything to be perfect first.
To be grateful for the woman I am, while remaining excited about the woman I am still becoming.

And perhaps this birthday isn’t about having everything figured out.

Perhaps it’s simply about being grateful that I’m still here, still dreaming, still loving, still growing, still becoming.

Today’s MID YEAR Thanksgiving at Harvesters Globe was themed Owambe… and I’d like to think I came correct. 🙈💃✨

As I reflected today, I was reminded of something: while there is still so much we’re praying and trusting God for, there’s also so much we’ve already been given. Sometimes we’re so focused on what’s next that we forget to celebrate what God has already done.

As we step into the second half of the year, let’s remain hopeful, stay thankful, and choose gratitude every single day. A grateful heart sees God’s faithfulness even in the waiting.
