I would never forget.

This picture has become less of a joke and more of a serious testament to another year of life lived.

These pictures have outlived friends, family members, and relationships in general.

I often struggle, like everyone does at some point, to stay “happy” and grounded. Sometimes you don’t want to die but you don’t want to live the life you’re currently living, even if it’s the most comforting and easy life you can imagine.

Learning to accept that “bad” feelings are still “good”, sounds like some hippie advice, but holds more merit than that.

In a mind and soul where emotions are unavoidable, I’m blessed to even have the ability to deeply feel “negative” emotions like sadness. I believe as a person I feel very deeply in general, and with that comes “good” and “bad” feelings.

I’ve gotten better at accepting these “negative” feelings, and use them as a reminder that I’m alive, and have that gift of feeling.

I wouldn’t trade these deep feelings for anything, because it makes me who I am. Each feeling and emotion is like a drug coursing through every bloodstream in my body.

I’m blessed to feel what I feel, and I thank everyone in my life that helps evoke these emotions and feelings within me.

See you next year. by @stephen_leyden

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admit the changes it’s gone through to achieve that beauty.

Nothing wrong with playing hard as long as you work hard. Ride that line, and try not to let your idea of fun become performative.

STAY. CURIOUS.
