I still can't quite believe that I got to experience this job at all, let alone was offered it just two days before I started when I was on holiday with a bunch of mates.

The first band that I ever bought myself an album for and my first ever rock tour. I was touring Europe with their operation, on a tour bus with a team that were so welcoming and supportive. Obviously they absolutely buried me at every opportunity.

Teenage me was doing backflips for three weeks solid. 37 year old me would have been too but I'm very achy.

I've got two weeks off, which is really quite good timing, because I think I've come down with something... 😉

My first ever solo gig! Went down a treat, especially this closing @tenaciousd number. I hope @jackblack would approve.

Thank you to @running_with_knivesband for inviting me, everyone singing along and to the light for blinding me for the entire set.

Ropey footage ripped off someone’s Snapchat so apologies for the quality, or lack thereof.

I just never tire of @nothingbutthieves

Amazing set in support of @biffy_clyro

@donbroco were outrageously entertaining live with what is, I'm sure, an @andysamberg inspired frontman.

Missed @wavves unfortunately but @marmozets were also great.

Amazing lineup.

Getting some serious work done in Brisbane.

Beard Street I stumbled upon. Stephens Road I stumbled upon. Then getting a photo with the two became a goal.

Patrick Lane was surprisingly and incredibly fortunately on the way to Beard Street the second time around 😅

Also saw the dog en route. by @stephenbeard88

Unbelievably cool to finally see this show live.

Absolutely left field cast 🤣

A musical masterpiece.

I just now got around to plugging her in for the first time.

*Wipes tears*

Only using a @rolandglobal Cube to test all the controls and she sounds monstrously beautiful.

I first saw this bass when I was 20, in my first year of university. It was £1300 or thereabouts. Reverb in Leicester told me that because it was a slow day they'd let me have it for £900. I told myself I couldn't afford it, as a student, and declined the offer. Then I spent about a grand on alcohol in the following month.

I regretted that decision for 16 years, as the colour I fell in love with got discontinued, as did the majority of the range years later. No one ever stocks them, so I could never try one again to see if I still liked them, or if it was a near impulse buy.

I've now allowed myself to buy this one that I saw on Reverb's website last week, imported from Korea, and it's exactly what I remembered. It's also one of the basses used by one of my earliest musical idols, @commerford_bass of @rageagainstthemachine and @audioslaveofficial.

All that's left to be said now is "Slappa de bass, mon".

My second trip to Italy ever and in the last two years ended yesterday. I visited my friend where she's working in the Dolomites for my second attempt ever at snowboarding.

As you can see, I was absolutely shredding that mountain and look like an absolute pro...

The town of Suisi (Suzie) where it all happens is a beautiful place, with a heavy German/Italian population, so I had to wing my Italian and dig deep to rediscover my German GCSE grade C skills.

Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you've got a mate who lives and works there and gets you mates rates on everything 😅

Only downside was the excessive fog the entire time, which obviously lifted the day I left entirely 🙄 and the myriad of positions into which I fell.

Also drank and ate lots (charcuterie, wine and amaro mostly) and played lots of @monopolygameofficial Deal. What a game!

Another Panto run came to an end early this month. I had the best time. Everyone was so fun to work with and around.

My first ever COD panto, in which I was the Dame, doing my best to breathe the same air as Whitley Bay Legend, Patsy.

@darrendayofficial aka West End Legend Darren Day is extremely kind and fun to work with.

Congrats to @stevewallsentertainer on his 14th year at the venue.

@lukedavidmartin is already a local legend. Book him for events. Ask him to put on a game of Traitors for yourselves 🤣

Looking forward to very likely being there for Panto 2025!
