Well - that was a crazy night!

I was in Hannover on Thursday night, about to go on stage for 'Anything Goes', when I get a message from the lovely @franziska.schuster.official

"Wärst du schon bereit für Renfield?"

Last night was supposed to be my premiere for my ensemble track but due to sickness, I ended up performing my first show of Dracula as Renfield! Who needs rehearsals 😅

It was very stressful but also very cool! ☺️ Thank you so much to all my cast who helped me get through this absolutely crazy night!

This cast is fantastic, choreography is incredible, the band is fantastic, stage design, costumes, lighting, make-up are all awesome. It was a short but brilliant contract. And here we go again 🥳 🎶

I am excited to be starting rehearsals on Monday for my 5th production at @theaterkiel - playing Barry and ensemble in Paul Abraham's jazz operetta 'Märchen im Grand Hotel' (Fairytale at the Grand Hotel).

'Märchen' was actually the first show that I ever did at a German opera house, back in 2019 at the Staatsoper Hannover, as part of the barbershop quartet in @stefanhuber_regie and @andrea.danae.kingston's brilliant production ❤️

I am looking forward to another chance to explore the same piece but this time with a different role and with an interesting twist 🧛🏻‍♂️ 👹

Thank you as always to @theaterkiel for bringing me in for another two productions this season and to @agenturglanzlichter for helping me make my crazy schedule work.

Had a quick one day trip to the happiest place on earth to see the Halloween decorations 🎃 👻 Sometimes when your schedule is as manic as ours, you have to take advantage of whatever gaps you have to spend time together and do fun things ☺️❤️

Thank you @_manuelno_ for the cute photo and running around the park with us 🙂😘

And premiere of La Cage aux Folles is done! 🥳 👠

Just 2 days rehearsals before my first run through in full makeup, wigs and costumes and then two days after that was premiere! It was a wild week but I had such a brilliant time and am so happy to be there sharing a stage with these crazy, talented people. It was such fun to explore this completely different energy than one typically gets to portray on stage.

A massive thank you to Dance Captain @dance.antoine for all your help getting me through this and to all my other Cagelles for your tips and more importantly, incredibly warm and supportive welcome 🌈❤️

Thank you also to @theaterkiel for your continued trust in me - very excited to be at my home away from home for a fourth season and 4th and 5th productions this year.

And of course, as always a huge shoutout to my agency @agenturglanzlichter for helping me make my occasionally wild schedule work!!

And thank you @toboter_ for the photo 😉 📸

Now for a few days off and then back to Kiel for more adventures 👻 🧛🏻‍♂️ 👹

Today's petit allegro from @jrmfoto at @onstagetrainingcenter - this was a fun little one! Recorded without music, thus the speeding up at the end 🙈😅

Wir sind was wir sind! ✨👠 🌈

Very happy to be back later this month at my "home theatre", @theaterkiel, jumping in for a few shows of the Wiederaufnahme of 'La Cage aux Folles' 🥳

I often say that I have less a bucket list of shows and more that I want to have done shows by all the big composers. So I am very much looking forward to ticking the amazing Jerry Herman off that list ☺️

Thank you to Kiel for always placing your trust in me and as always to my amazing agent @agenturglanzlichter ❤️

Current planned shows:
26.09.26
11.10.26
06.02.27

'Deadringer for Love' - Jim Steinman, Meatloaf

Throwing it a LONG way back to before I worked in Germany 😅 I was looking for some videos to submit for a job recently and came across this clip from 2015. Although I obviously love working in musicals and being part of that bigger picture, there is always something super fun about doing galas and getting to sing material that casting directors might not automatically imagine for you.

And since my first job in Germany (Tanz der Vampire) was also written by Jim Steinman, who wrote all of Meatloaf's songs, I guess the training worked out 😉

Speaking of galas, tickets are on sale for our next @showtimemusicalgala at @emporebuchholz on November 14th!! It is looking like it will be an AMAZING lineup of performers this year 🥳 If you live in the Hanburg area, get your tickets now!

Shout out to my fabulous duet partner here, @emmakillipx 😘

When you're a Jet 😢

Riff, Action, Big Deal/Snowboy, Baby John, Diesel

On the train to @theaterkiel for our FINAL show of 'West Side Story'. Three seasons of being an on-stage swing for this show has been a crazy, brilliant, challenging and unforgettable experience. Between this and being dance captain of 'Zauberer von Oz' here, Kiel has very much become my home theatre (something which might continue next season 🤫).

This show has allowed me to grow and push myself as a swing/Einspringer, jumping between roles, suddenly dancing choreo, singing songs and playing scenes that I have never rehearsed before that day. Thank you so much to all of my cast members and also to our Abendspielleitungen over the seasons @raif_jasa and @endstationsehns for their amazing support.

Particular love has to go to all my Jets over the years: Greg Antemes @christopher_carduck @henri.frey @vitaliy.netrunenko @filippovalmorbida @gulzirazhantemir @vasco.yu.belo @didborel @said_glz 💪❤️

And of course to my right hand man, who often jumped in to take over my track so I did not have to be 3/4 people at once (although that did sometimes happen 😅), @stefan.g.schmitz ❤️❤️ Thank you for your amazing work on stage and your support off it 😘

Tonight for one last time - Jets Sammeln!

Throwback to July 2023 and jumping in as Bobinet in Offenbach's 'Pariser Leben' at Theater Kiel ☺️ A LOT of spoken and sung text, my first time singing without a microphone on an opera house stage, literally flew in for just for the day from rehearsing in Austria for 'Mamma Mia'. It was a crazy one but such fun 🤩
