39. Bringing in another year of life marked by immense gratitude. Wow, this is the start of the last year of my 30s?! What a gift! I've been thinking about Matthew 6:33 so much lately, and what truly matters. Does 6+33=39? Sure does. Let's do this, fam 🤍 I'm with ya, I'm for ya & I love ya! What might this year bring? I'm excited!! by @stephenheindel

Let's FIRST give credit to Google Photos for this dope collage. They understood the assignment when it came to finding the "highlights." That being said - it's in between those highlights where so much of life actually resides. What didn't get mentioned: 1) Remaining consistent and adaptable, as I stayed at my current accounting contract the entire year. 2) gratitude for the provision of returning to North Face on the side, and resuming my passion to serve those who love outdoor spaces. 3) finding new types of workouts and re-discovering the need to be resilient when I was temporarily sidelined from running. 4) the power of connection and the joy of some new friendships. 5) remaining tethered to Hope and fixing my gaze to the only lasting Peace. 2026, I welcome you, and my focus is this: Build. We're gonna build what lasts. Bridges, not walls. Joy, not animosity. Resilience, not revenge. Courage, not comfort. Humility and humor. Friendships and faith. LOVE YOU!!! by @stephenheindel

Sometimes, random words just pop in my head and stay awhile. Recently, I have been thinking about the title of one of my favorite Dr. King books/speeches titled "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community." He chose two fitting c words. As the term "chaos" has hung around internally, I have decided on two f words (no, not *those* words) for how we can choose to respond to moments and seasons of chaos. It can either FAZE us or it can FOCUS us. This is why I love watching and participating in a variety of sports - you can tell which athletes and teams have chosen the latter vs the former. This is obviously not an exhaustive perspective on the word, but it's something that has been really fascinating to me right now ✌🏼 by @stephenheindel

38.

What a gift. A chance to start again. There might be an “i” in birthday, but who actually got me here? It's certainly not merely anything I have done.

It's the support of my family. It's the care of my church community. It's the resilience learned from my run crews. It's the richness of my relationships.

The year of quiet confidence and humble trust. LOVE YOU ALL ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 by @stephenheindel

You want to talk about a group of young men who took the high road when faced with adversity?! 1 pt loss on the road in a top 3 matchup. 3 pt loss vs the rival, who had a subpar year by their standards. So, now what?! I think of the title of one Dr. King's literary works on this MLK Day - "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community." The outside noise was insane. The overreactions were nauseating. HOWEVER, that locker room did not fold. The brotherhood grew even stronger. They weren't oblivious to the changes that needed to be made. Accountability and adjustments. Move forward. Together. AND NOW WE'RE NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!!! #ohiostate #ohioagainsttheworld by @stephenheindel
