2nd show of the year was superb fun, covering a day with @viggovenn at @southendtheatres wearing a hi-vis and being a props master. Makes me realise I need to get better taking photos from side of stage. taken in Palace Theatre, Westcliff-on-Sea by @stephenroast

My Newy Resser 2zero24 is to actually post things on here from the events I work, and it’s an absolute treat to open that account with an old friend. @guzkhanofficial at @becktheatre was a great show to banish the January blues, with support from the always superb Sukh Ojla. It is a very rarely bestowed honoured to be part of the @luventertainmentevents team too, so my thanks go to @altafsarwar. He rightly knows that am better than you. taken in The Beck Theatre by @stephenroast

Just got in from Aberdeen. You might hear a lot of rumours flying around, but Stefan Strauss and the boys in Frankfurt are doing all they can and everything is…looking promising. #peepshowquotes taken in Frankfurt, Germany by @stephenroast

So pleased to have invited back to play and slay the Main Stage (Transport) at #download20. Having been away for nearly 10 years I felt such a strong sense the crowds (in the Ginger Owl office) were overjoyed to have me back, and the feeling was more than mutual. Looking forward to my next tour dates at Boomtown where I’ve not been before but I imagine an equally strong response to my greatest bits.

The past 6 weeks have been filled with joy, and I am beyond proud to have worked with such dedicated and talented people. It started with a 8am sprint through Gatwick Airport carrying a keyboard and thinking I would miss a flight, ended with two perfect sold out shows @dukeofyorksldn, and saw Rubics cubes interfered with, a clear preference for support acts from the entertainment industry, Absolute Radio 90s, and a lovely bit of fish in between. I am also now an expert inflator of helium balloons and have gained unexpected insights into the whiteboard manufacturing process. @nickmohammedy’s Very Best & Worst of Mr Swallow was a delight of a show to work on, and I am forever grateful to Nick and @owen_donovan for giving me the chance to work with them. @rosejohnno and @wheatpraylove were fantastic supports, putting up with my poor hotel choices as much as my good ones. Finally thanks to @pxlwy for all her work on the warmup shows and making things so easy to begin with. On to the next one… taken in United Kingdom by @stephenroast

So terribly sad to read that Gareth Richards has lost his fight - a kind and warmhearted soul who was always a joy to spend a weekend with at the Glee. Sending love to his family. by @stephenroast

Good week last week. Might actually be able to make a go of this freelance thing after all. Fun times this week with Mr Swallow, Sungazer and The Rest is Politics.
Thanks to AEG, Goalhanger Productions (#freegary), Band on the Wall Nick Mohammed and Owen Donovan especially for their support. taken in England, United Kingdom by @stephenroast

7 years of marriage completed. Had a Chateaubriand to celebrate so actually not a bad year all in all.
Worryingly the PM is leaving it late to notify me of my inclusion in the New Years honours so you sometimes find yourself asking what really is the point, although to be fair the quality of conversation and intercourse has remained decent so it’s not all bad #happyanniversary #7years #addingafundraiserwouldhavebeenfunny taken in Fiesta Del Asado by @stephenroast

Running the best comedy club in the country has been an experience I will treasure and probably even remember with my dying breaths, but countless late nights have robbed me of time with my beautiful family and from April 9th I shall repay their love and support by leaving the Glee and actually spending time with them. I am very excited to be taking a short term role at the Commonwealth Games in August this year and have no idea what comes after that, but if anyone reading this needs a tour manager I’ve always fancied a go at that.

There are too many people and too many memories for one social media post, but to everyone who entered my life because I ran this club, it is almost certain that my love for you is enormous. Your passion, your talent, your hard work, your heart and your very essence has lifted me every day that I have walked into this phenomenal room and I wouldn’t change a minute of what we have done here together. Almost all of you owe me a beer, and I intend to share it with you one day… taken in The Glee Club Birmingham by @stephenroast
