I think at this point it is pretty clear where I stand with AI generated art; nothing can ever replace the soul, the essence, of human creativity. And so we mustn't convince ourselves otherwise, that who we are can be trivialized.

I've made it a point this year, as an act of rebellion and solidarity, to reach out to visual artists and commission them to create the cover art for my songs, to give them the freedom to be inspired by the music, and translate it through their forms of expression.

And so for my next release, 'Reckless', I reached out to @neonsword.tattoo, to create the cover art. Without revealing the theme of the song itself just yet, these are, in her words, the meaning behind her design:

"... a representation of the need of letting go of the known self and the perceived self. Breaking free of societal bounds and expectations to then discover maybe a true self or at least exploring for a truer sense of self."

Reckless, featuring @voicemagicqueen, launches October 16th 2026, across digital stores and platforms. (Pre-Save link in bio)

I know that most people look at my life and assume that I have every reason to be content. And the truth is, on paper, I really should be; but somehow there's a disconnect between what I'm supposed to feel and what I actually do. And so most of the time I'm inside my mind at war with my own thoughts, trying endlessly to silence them. Honestly I don't know how I'd cope if I didn't have my music to focus out the noise.

What makes you uniquely you? That unexplainable human spark, the soul – AI can predict your sound, but it can never capture that irreplaceable nuance. #HumanSpark #ArtificialIntelligence #Creativity #Art #Soul #Uniqueness #Inspiration #FutureOfArt #Authenticity #Reels taken in Montreal, Canada by @stephenvoyce

@ckutmusic was the first radio station to have me on as a guest artist way back in the day and they've continued to support me and music ever since. So thank you to @soulpckut and CKUT for yet another wonderful interview. A special shoutout to @mrkdferguson and @ellieghuggs for the thought provoking discussion.

After attending the most excellent Montreal Comiccon in July, we were invited this past weekend to this year's Ottawa Comiccon. This was our first time going and we had nothing short of a blast. I've said this before, but it's worth saying again and again, there's something quite wonderful about being surrounded by like minded people who are passionate about geek culture and excited to celebrate it. So thank you @ottawa_comiccon for having us 🙏

Thank you @merakiwavestudio & @withfriends.rsvp for inviting me to perform, amongst other truly talented Montreal-based artists, at the Meraki Wave 1st year anniversary; it was an honor.

And a special thank you to @thelifeofmora.mov for sound engineering our sets and @kamekamusic for accompanying me with your epic guitar skills. And thank you @aspermyemail.jono for capturing all of these wonderful moments 🙏

*Giveaway Time*

To all my Montreal gamers, I told y'all that I'd be doing more giveaways 😊. This time I'm giving away 2 copies of @rebelwolvesdevs' 'The Blood of Dawnwalker' for the PS5. And no I'm not going to ask you to follow me or anything like that; I want this to be fun and a celebration of everything gaming. So here are the rules:

1. In light of current news surrounding Sony, let me know in a comment, as a gamer, why you think physical media is so important and worth preserving.

2. And that's it. The two responses that resonate the most with me will win. I'll announce the 2 winners on September 9th 2026 in a comment to this post.

Only eligible to people in the Montreal area, 18+. I'll open these up in the future to more regions.

And no this isn't a sponsored giveaway, these came out of my pocket, which I bought at @ebgamescan (but if they ever wanted to partially sponsor these in the future I wouldn't be opposed 🤭). This is just my way of continuing to show love to the Montreal community that continues to show me and my music love. Good luck!

I'm so used to fighting for the respect that I deserve that I tend to forget that I've already earned it.

In retrospect, I don't know why I ever tried so hard to hide my geekiness from the world, like I was ashamed of that side of myself. Today I know better; I know that everything cool about me stems from just how geeky I am. You really start living when you shed away all the bullshit you thought you needed to be.

Someone once told me: "Music is etched so deeply into who you are; you'll never stop creating, even if your only listener is you". To be fair I'm paraphrasing but it's true; music will always be a constant in my life, even as everything else changes.
