Did a time plus match for the first time in class with the 🐐 @bucklawler Note to self, deltas hurt, but mikes hurt more just ask @eric_mr.lee 😂. Awesome class as always with Buck, came back with a good set of homework to keep pushing myself to the next level.

Sometimes being different works. Especially when the stage brief allows it.

Stage 3 at Hansen on 6/14. A fun stage with solid lessons learned, despite sliding around the fence before the third shooting position. I’m still refining my trigger control and visual discipline, but I’m steadily increasing the pace and challenging myself to perform at a higher level. Progress continues with every stage #uspsa #praciticalshooting #pdp

Hansen Match 6/14 – Stage 1, our first stage of the day.

The first target unfortunately lost the dot, but I was able to recover and make up some ground. The real damage came from the open target going into the swinger array. I picked up a mike there. Carlos knew it immediately, while I was still getting into position and started shooting before I was fully settled.

On the bright side, this was the first swinger I've ever shot without throwing a mike on the swinger itself, so I'll take that as a win

Stage 4 at the Hansen Match. Not the result I was looking for, but the stage plan worked well. Dealt with some trigger freeze for the first time, learned from it, and moving forward.

Proud to officially join the @glizzylube team!

I’ve been using their products for over 3 months, and the difference has been huge. My guns stay cleaner, run smoother, and honestly smell amazing.

The Grape scent is still my favorite—nothing beats the smell of grapes at a USPSA match.

If you haven’t tried Glizzy Lube yet, now’s the time.

Use code SWS10 for 10% OFF your order! 🔥💪

Hansen Match 5/17.

A lot of mistakes this match, but also a lot of progress. Fundamentals broke down on several targets, and I paid for it with makeup shots on steel, rushed reloads, and even an unnecessary reload on one stage.

That said, my overall raw time was significantly better — which has been the main focus lately: improving match pace and learning to shoot faster under pressure. Now it’s about finding the balance between speed and accuracy. Might need to dial the pace back slightly to clean up the hits and make the speed more controlled.

Slowly putting the pieces together every match. Progress isn’t always pretty, but it’s happening. Awesome time finally shooting with @mrpann and @taylontank41 and of course with my boys @_theluisperez_ @riosreloaded @mr.blackanchor @logan_hashtani by @stephenwrightshoots

GCPS Match – 5/3

All 5 stages @gulfcoastpracticalshooters this past weekend. All Stages are in order 1-5.

Probably the best match I’ve shot so far. I had a few small mistakes on Stages 2, 3, and 4 where I lost time by not calling my shots—ended up sending make-up shots that weren’t needed. That also threw off my stage plan a bit, and I didn’t always hit the positions I wanted.

Still, everything is starting to come together. Only 1 mike this match (Stage 5)… kinda clipped the barrel 😅

Also, sorry about the hat cam—must’ve bumped it because the angle ended up pointing more downward than usual.

Stage 6 at the WAC 14th Annual Gary “Doc” Welt Memorial Match.

First stage of the day for our squad—I came in a little hot on my entries at the start, still dialing those in.

And yeah… the teeter-totter got me (insert cuss words) @deltamikememes. Put a little too much weight down all at once and landed hard—right on a knee that’s been giving me trouble the past couple years. Definitely didn’t feel great for the rest of the match.

That said, still an awesome match overall. The DOC is a match everyone should experience at least once in USPSA.
