More random photos from the beach town where we stayed in the Netherlands. We didn’t have a car so we walked around town or took the train/bus into Amsterdam. I will miss the ease of public transportation in Europe. We had so much fun with our friends, I was sad to leave them but they’re off to have even more adventures and we flew back to Copenhagen. taken in Zandvoort, Netherlands by @stepherz2178

First day exploring in the Netherlands. We took the bus into Amsterdam to visit the Ann Frank House and the Van Gogh Museum. In between we did some shopping and wandering. It’s still stupid hot here but it’s supposed to begin cooling off soon. Some of the shops had signs up, “due to red warning we are closed.” A woman I chatted with in the bus explained that they tell people to just stay home when it’s this hot. We’re used to the heat but it hits different here when there’s no AC anywhere. The only air we’ve found has been in museums. by @stepherz2178

We picked the wrong 24 hours to spend in Paris. It’s the hottest day in… Ever. Did I mention they don’t seem to believe in AC here? It’s only like 90 degrees in our Airbnb right now. I’m melting…. Italy day ? I don’t know. I’ve lost count. Took the train to another part of Genoa and did some more exploring and shopping. I love seeing the old parts of the city and exploring the shops and restaurants. taken in Porto di Genova by @stepherz2178

Row and I just had the funniest interaction at the Poste Italiane. There was a heated argument going on in the background between staff and customer with lots of yelling and hand waving. We just wanted postcard stamps to send cards home. The gentlemen helping us only spoke in Italian so we practiced the few words we know and used Google Translate for the rest. After each card to Stati Uniti he said Aiy Yai Yai and crossed himself. He did not need to cross himself to send postcards to Sweden though. 😭 At the end of our interaction he looked up and said “See ya later alligator”in perfect English. I love Italy. 🤣 by @stepherz2178
