Got a few dms about this health journey I've found myself on. What I'm doing, what motivates me and my routine. Figured I'll just post it here its kinda cool that yall are into it :).

I got started because got back to Nashville after a while in rural NY being sedentary besides some shenanigans here and there, and realized all the stairs to gigs that used to be easy work now felt like marathons. I noticed how much that slow season effected my speed, energy, balance, and everything in between.

So i started walking in my neighborhood, but it was the middle of July in Tennessee and it was 100000° by 8am so i joined the gym just to get some steps in.

My competitive nature woke up, and I then was trying to beat my old time, and wanted to get stronger so started exploring the machines. I also have been eating a bit better and cut out the late night stress eating. I usually do eat pretty healthy overall but in NY i was on my worst behavior for sure in the winter with all my moms cookin.

I don't take any peptides or anything at this time just go to the gym as often as i can which is usually 3-4×/ week and try to just not even have junk in the kitchen as an option.

My routine:
I walk/jog a mile and try to not get slower.
Swap arms day and legs day every other time. I also try to get some abs in each time. I dint really keep track of my weights and reps just do what feels good each time.

I don't have a goal really, I'd say I've already reached it. I can hustle around downtown with my gear on my back and not feel winded when i arrive. The perks of better control of my anxiety and its bestie depression, have been nice too though. Also a huge part of why i keep going. I never was an athletic gal, im not insecure much about my body or looks, but idk the time came where the movement has really made me feel better and so for now i keep going.

Anyone else on a journey? Any advice from seasoned health minded folks? by @stephmaguireofficial

I freaking love this spot. It's so cute and cozy. I've lived in tiny quirky spaces most of my adult life cause i just love a cozy little "nest" as my sister would say, I prefer a "den".

Sad news though i noticed my pet spider, Roadie, disappeared from her little cactus pot house outside where she had been since June! So now i got no one to talk to over here. I'm telling myself she left to find somewhere warmer 🫣. by @stephmaguireofficial

Its the moooooost wonderful time of the year #seasonaldepression #SAD #winter #shortdays #darkness by @stephmaguireofficial

I'm currently recording my long awaited "Good Grief" album. I'm very guilty of repeating the lessons in the songs written years ago, and I'm putting them all to bed in the studio all winter.

This album is all the stages of grief, as I've experienced them at different times. Sometimes its a relationship, sometimes friendships, or relationships that change in general, the thing I avoid but crave more than anything else. Love. Its so strong but people are so fragile. I'm fragile. We make mistakes, we hurt one another. Sometimes a small cut and sometimes we leave one another gutted. Sometimes we truly never meant to, and sometimes love turns dark and missiles are fired.

Ive fallen for a lot of things over the years but I'm not sure I've ever truly experienced love. The kind where both sides are honest and pure and truly just there to see it through. I hope to find it someday, but in the mean time I've written songs about words with no evidence, wanting things back that had me feeling unsure constantly. A state of mind of not doing enough while never getting my needs met, deep deep depression and sadness from losing things that were dead a long time before they ended, the intense anger when someone refuses accountability while I take mine, the confusion of bait and switching. Never wanting to leave, no matter what. Sitting in every painful minute of time while healing. And finally, moving on and letting go. I'm called to make this album. I'm proud I finally am in a place to make it happen. And I can already feel the healing from bringing this to lifetime.

This is the biggest investment I've made in a long time. Just doing it cause I have to see it finished. I have to share these songs. I'm happily living in an rv with a paid off truck and no fancy things to make this album exist. Love is real, love is beautiful, its the strongest thing on earth, sometimes the grief damn near kills you and sometimes its actually Good Grief. by @stephmaguireofficial
