My heart is overwhelmed with the gratitude I feel for this trip to Colombia. I planned it to be an intentional experience with my girls, and it exceeded all expectations. Thank you to each of you for sharing this special time with me. For showering me with love and for stepping into sisterhood with an open heart. This birthday has been expansive and transformative. Feeling grounded by my sisters energy. Thank you for coming to visit me @ivanamg14 . I cherish these moments with you. Dude, you have been with me through many chapters in my life. I am grateful for the time I had with you, the laughs, the adventures, the comfort you brought me when I was down, and the special character you were in our little family. I new this day had to come eventually, but nothing could have prepared me for the void that your absence would leave behind. I feel your spirit when I sit in the sunshine, remembering your squinty eyes and goofy smile when you sunbathed. You always have a special place in my heart. Rest in piece little buddy. I love you.

I have been learning how to process the abundance from my garden. l sun dried tomatoes, next I will can them. I am dehydrating herbs to keep as seasoning for fall and winter.
It is a blessing to grow more food than my family can eat. I am inspired to process and store my harvests so that we can continue to enjoy organically grown produce even after the growing season is over.
Winter is coming, and I know I will need some of these sweet tomatoes to not only nourish my body, but also my spirit. The joy I will feel when I season my hardy stews with the herbs I lovingly picked on warm summer days.
Food is medicine that heals our dis-eased bodies, it helps release serotonin when the flavors spark memories of soil covered hands and a sun kissed face; it will restore my spirit to the rhythms of nature that I found myself rooted in this season.
Growing and now processing my food is a lot of work. However I find myself smiling all the while, because I genuinely love it. Gardening has taught me so many lessons in gratitude, intuition, stillness, wonder, balance, abundance, nature, and science! 🌻💕🌈🍄
