Some highlights from last night’s @chineseparade 😍The weather was perfect, the energy was high, the crowds were huge, and I was really happy with how our floats came out. A few of my favorites included the UNITY carousel (honestly, I have dreamed of creating a float like this for years), Cache Creek glowed in the city setting, Graton was the embodiment of glittering abundance (may this be a promise for the coming year for us all) , and the artwork our team created for the Sky River horse was top notch. Honestly- float building is not an easy job. Balancing budgets, deadlines, and client expectations, working long hours and getting bumps and bruises along the way can take its toll. But on a night like last night, when everything aligns, and I get to walk through the streets and see hundreds of thousands of people smiling and cheering all around me, lighting up over the work our team has spent months working on, it all feels so special and so worth it, bruises and all. #chinesenewyear #sanfrancisco #paradefloat #artanddesign #love by @stephmufson

Last night I had the honor of speaking at the @womenininnovation Un-Conference on The Future of Play. I started by speaking about my 20+ year career as a maker, designer, and facilitator of play and collective joy, before opening the floor to the attendees to ask them questions on their own experiences, wisdom, and struggles around the intersection of work, play, and what role... if any... gender plays in these dynamics.
I met some amazing women and learned a lot, both from the other speakers, as well as from the guests at my talk.

Last night was another successful free paint and sip! Here are a few of our favorite snapshots from yesterday’s PlayfulSF activation at the Waterfront Walkabout! We offered painting instruction for those who wanted it, and the creativity flowed in all directions from the creators and dreamers!
We also set up our custom games to invite people to tap into their kinesthetic and competitor play personalities.
