There is just something about camp!!!

A week away from the distractions. New friendships. Belly laughs. Late-night conversations. The .5’s , marker tattoos! Adventures they’ll never forget. And space to experience the love of Jesus in a real and personal way.

Watching these students step outside their comfort zones, encourage one another, and grow in their faith reminds me why we do what we do. Every ride, every meal, every game, every conversation matters.

Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, and made this week possible. You are part of every story God is writing.

Now we get to come home and keep walking alongside these students. Camp isn’t the finish line it’s just the beginning. ❤️I love these students so much!

Some flowers are fully alive open, vibrant, reaching toward the light. Others are dried, fragile, carrying the quiet evidence that they once bloomed too.Both are beautiful. Fresh flowers feel like joy, growth, possibility. The kind of beauty that’s easy to celebrate.
But dried flowers hold a different kind of beauty. One that’s layered. Weathered. Honest. They’ve been through the full cycle of blooming and withering and still, they remain. There are parts of us that feel alive and thriving, full of color and energy. And there are parts that feel a little worn, a little tender, shaped by things that didn’t turn out the way we hoped. But none of it is wasted. None of it cancels out the beauty.

Slowing down and taking in the beauty around me is so healing. The warmth of the sun, the sounds of the birds, the cool breeze.
Disappointment has a way of settling in quietly…
It lingers in the unmet expectations, the conversations that didn’t go how you hoped, the doors that closed without explanation.

If I’m honest, it doesn’t always feel graceful.
It can feel like anger, frustration, sadness, even a little bit of bitterness if I let it sit too long.

But I’m learning this: I get to choose what grows from it.

I can hold onto the hurt…
or I can release it.
I can replay the disappointment…
or I can look for the light that still found its way in.

Forgiveness isn’t pretending it didn’t matter.
It’s deciding it won’t have the final say. I’m choosing to let go a little more.
To try to soften where I could harden.
To trust that there is still good ahead.
