here’s my to-do list for today, inspired by @ryansbookcorner ❤️

what’s everyone else up to this Saturday?

if you’ve been following my stories this week, I’ve been in and out of dealing with car stuff 🫣

tl;dr got an oil change at my dealership on Wednesday, they were really pushy and upselling me on a bunch of services, so I went to Les Schwab for a second opinion, turns out I needed two new tires and new brakes!

$2000 could’ve bought so many books 😭

While waiting on my car, we walked over to Pioneer Park where they were selling glass pumpkins. It was so neat to look at! I admire and respect the art but did not buy any this time. If I had unlimited funds I would buy them all!!

Next stop while walking around town was to the ballot box to drop off our mail-in ballots! A lot of time and attention is on presidential elections but be sure to vote in your county and in midterms too!

Made my way over to @pageandpinebooks to pick up my order of Collin Gosselin’s “In the Shadow of Eight.” Of course I also picked up a Frieda McFadden for mom and another fantasy book for me too 🤓

A cruise around town wouldn’t be complete without making a pitstop at @catandrabbittcake for a lil sweet treat! I got the snickerdoodle cookie and the cream cheese frosting was so good! 😇

If you read this far - thanks for being here!! ❤️ by @stephreadz

October is shaping up to be a pretty productive bookish month for me! I’m hoping to keep up the pace of finishing a book every couple of days 🥰

At this point I think including The Poison Daughter on my “next” option is either gaslighting myself or ragebaiting y’all 🫣 it’s still in the contending, along with an ARC I have due soon and the next book in the From Blood and Ash series.

Whatcha reading currently? And have you read these ones?

Are you the kind of reader that sees the whole series through in a row?? Or do you start a series and jump around to unrelated books??

I sincerely want to avoid overconsumption, and at the same time, it was my birthday and I was left unsupervised 🫣

I think I might be entering my dark romantasy era??? Is this what being 35 does to you??

Have you read any of these?

this morning’s coffee was burnt and breakfast was gross and a surprise flat tire gave us a bit of trouble and we left for home later than planned….things like that used to really ruin a day for me but honestly practicing gratitude and being thankful for the things that are going right makes an overall good day 😇

I have a lot to be thankful for at 35!!

now I gotta go finish From Blood and Ash because we might have been late leaving because I was enjoying my book too much on the hotel balcony lmao 🤓

I’m really enjoying Superfan so far! It offers a dual POV between Eason, a Kpop idol from the boy group HOURglass, and Minnie, the super fan. The author does a really great job at putting words to the experience of learning about a Kpop group and then becoming a fanatic. I find myself connecting with Minnie’s limerence, loneliness, and desire to find community. I’m nearly halfway through this one and I’m glad I picked it up recently at @bnpuyallupwa during their hardcover sale.

Swipe to see my actual playlist from 2016 when I first became a Kpop fan 🥰
