So like, I have debilitating anxiety (and depression).
I’ve taken so many meds for depression/anxiety/adhd that I feel like my brain is fried. Because in the end, you build a tolerance and it all stops working.

Anyway, now I’m doing TMS treatment. It’s 30 minutes sitting in a chair with this thing zapping every 20 seconds. It’s everyday (5 days a week) for 6 weeks. Then 3 days a week for 1 week. Then 2 days a week for 1 week. Then one day a week for 1 week. Then the treatment is done. I think you can do a booster treatment after 6 months.

My insurance covered it.

Benefits of TMS: Improvement in depression, anxiety, OCD, or related symptoms.

What is TMS?
TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a noninvasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain.

Rich in life because every morning when my husband leave for work, he kisses both Declan and I goodbye and says “I love you”.
Rich in life because my husband wakes up every night in the middle of the night to make Declan a bottle (so I can feed him).
Rich in life because my husband makes a bottle for Declan and leaves it on the night stand before he leaves for work because Declan wakes up within 2 hours to eat. This way, I can grab it to feed him and not have to get out of bed.
Rich in life because I’m married to someone who doesn’t sit and argue with me for the fun of it.

You only get so many weeks with a newborn. Do skin to skin as much as you can. Stay in bed and cuddle them as long as possible. Stare at the tiny details, be still, and soak in every moment. 🤌💙 by @stephs_page_

People always ask me: how’s having a baby at 38 vs 18. And people are always shocked when I say “having a baby at 38 is way better than 18”

When I was 18 and I had Jordan, I was doing everything on my own (meaning I had no help from his dad because we weren’t living together. We broke up when I was pregnant).

I had no patience. I was stressed out being a single mom and having to worry about everything being my problem (paying all the bills and having everything fall on me).

I was still a kid myself at 18 while trying to raise a baby. It was HARD.

Being almost 40…I already raised one kid and now I get to do it all over again. Except I’m married. I have help from the father of my child. I’m not doing anything alone. My husband cleans bottles, changes diapers, makes bottles and takes Declan without me guilt tripping him or yelling at him to do it. He voluntarily does it. I have so much patience. I’m not living in survival mode. Which means I get to fully enjoy being a mom. Something I didn’t get to experience with my first child.

So when people are like: I can’t believe you’re almost 40 having kids, which means you’ll be almost 60 when they turn 18…

I wouldn’t change it for anything.
