What are your current reads?
I just finished my Throne of Glass journey and that was a roller coaster of feelings! I loved it! I’ll have my full review for the book and the series as a whole posted soon. Because I have some THOUGHTS! Annnnnd so many unanswered questions. Also I’m excited to start my theories for possible ACOTAR crossovers.
Anyways, I’m about to start Threshing Day! Then I’m going to Corvus and the Broken God, and lastly I’ll deep dive into ACOTAR and CC recaps in preparation for the next book. So excited! What are your crazy ACOTAR theories?

Is anyone else getting weird updates for Threshing Day? I got a notification that says it shipped today but won’t get here until January 12th? Is this happening for anyone else?
I know some people got theirs really early, so maybe it’s just a glitch like that and will be fixed tomorrow?

I haven’t touched my kindle in a week 😔 I started last week strong by finishing up an arc read.
I got the notification that Kingdom of Ash was ready for me to borrow shortly after on Libby. So it was perfect timing!
After that my week took a turn..
We noticed my bunny was acting a little weird at the beginning of the week so we made an appointment for Thursday. What we thought was going to be a regular vet visit turned out to be really heartbreaking news. We were sent home with meds and instructions on how to make things easier for a sick senior bunny. But overnight things got very very bad and Friday morning he was just too sick to keep going.
I’ve had little interest in things that bring me joy these past few days. Reading being a big one. I’ve mostly been napping and struggling to keep up with schoolwork.
I haven’t picked my kindle back up yet but I’m hoping maybe I’ll find that joy soon.

Possible hottake for writers and editors? Please don’t hate me

Something that I’ve noticed as a reader that is making me really sad is writers being told to stop “painting a picture” of what’s going on around their characters.
the types of trees
the sunset
what the house looks like
the sounds of the birds
the smell of the breeze
While I agree that overused it can take away from the story.. a lot of us do enjoy knowing what’s going on around the characters.
I want to be picked up from my couch and thrown into a forest.. not just reading dialogue and actions on paper.

I think we are so focused on what’s ’correct’ and not what is actually an enjoyable experience for different types of readers. Sure there are readers who want the least amount of description, and that’s fine!
But there’s also nothing wrong with those readers and writers who want to feel like they just walked into a different world

If you’re one of those writers who loves to take their readers on a JOURNEY and paint them a stunning backdrop with words.. Please don’t lose that.
Your readers are here.. I promise.

Enjoying this last week and a half before fall with a mix of summer flowers, my Kindle, and a Halloween drink! It’s such a strange feeling, I’m so excited to bring out my pumpkins and woodland animals but I want to be in the “fall spirit” while I do it. I’ve always been the type of person who waits until the first day of fall to decorate and I told myself I’d do it September 1st this year, but almost 90 degree weather and pumpkin spice candles just don’t mix in my mind. Hopefully the weather cools down soon. I’m excited for reading underneath blankets on the porch weather!

Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn tandem book review!
I did it! Man was that an emotional roller coaster! I loved the friendships in both of the books and there were some really sweet moments.
I will never get over the emotional devastation of the ending of Empire of Storms. Like what?!?
Now I’m not so patiently waiting for Kingdom of Ash on Libby!!
