Barely home this summer, but I’ve been working on something big & fun for August! I’m overseeing the event production & operations of a TEDx event in DC! 📋 It’s a volunteer-led community initiative headed by our fearless leader @hi.mhk / @tedxlogancircle . We started w/ a zero (aka negative) budget, so we’re especially grateful for our partners & fellow volunteers! Snippets from my biggest transportation program yet! The most challenging portion was coordinating w/ 23 drivers & their vehicles during rush hour on a busy one-way street in DC. In 90+ degrees. Plus, high humidity. While wearing all-black, long pants & a safety vest 😅

I logged approximately 85 hours over seven days straight, including back-to-back 16-hour days 🫠 I couldn't have done it w/out the help of my awesome teammates, @aikombo & Alex! Thank you to @restonlimousine for the amazing opportunity & experience! taken in Washington, D.C by @stephxlay

Happiest on a sunny beach 🌞 Coming home and going from 85° to 40° was a rough transition and even harder to adjust to the end of daylight savings and the early darkness 🥲

Zanzibar was a beautiful last minute decision thanks to @scottbrills / @pamojasafaris 😍 This might be the whitest sands & clearest waters that I’ve seen yet! taken in Nungwi Beach, Zanzibar by @stephxlay

Corporate conferences are BACK and I’m beyond excited to be back in my element. I just wrapped up working four conferences in four cities in four weeks 😮‍💨 Lots of long days & early mornings, but it feels good to connect with people in-person again 🤗 Swipe through for some snapshots 📸

What can I help you celebrate this week? 🥳

We’re quick to jump onto the next thing or to critique ourselves on what we could’ve done better, but I encourage you to pause and look back on and celebrate your wins, whether big or small 🤗 [this is as much of a reminder to myself as it is for you 😁]

I’m reflecting & celebrating:
🎉 Today: balancing four different hour-long Zoom calls 👩🏻‍💻
🎉 This month: managing a very hectic & stressful, but fun family-filled schedule 🥰
🎉 This year: continuously putting myself out there, saying yes to opportunities, and adding some new roles to my repertoire, such as virtual assistant, community manager, model & influencer 🤗
🎉 All while we continue on in this global pandemic 🙃 So give yourself some grace if all you did today was get out of bed and faced the day ❤️

Is there a town or city that holds a special place in your heart? 🥰

Although I have traveled a lot, the only place I have lived besides my hometown is Charlottesville, Virginia. During my undergraduate time at UVA, I was constantly exploring the food and drinking scene, but I missed out on Charlottesville's vibrant art scene 🎨

I am beyond excited to announce my partnership with the Charlottesville Arts Excursion to showcase amazing local art embedded into the city. From a community-driven art park (@ixartpark) to Virginia’s first immersive art museum (@ixlookingglass), and from theaters to galleries, Charlottesville has it all for fellow art lovers 🎭🎼

Do you ever overthink things to the point where nothing gets done? 🙃

I was completely overwhelmed by the love & support on my last post and I sort of shut down... I’m not used to all the compliments and I struggled to receive them. And it was a strange feeling being on the other side of, “How can I help you?” & “What do you need?” 🥲 I honestly don’t know how to express my gratitude, but please know that I appreciate every comment & message 🥰
