Some days just fill your soul in ways you never expected 🤍 I can’t get enough of every moment we spent together out in nature — and what makes it even more magical is that it never once felt like a first meeting 🌸 We clicked instantly, shared the same passions, explored the same wonders, and I enjoyed every single second of our day together 🍃 The hardest part is knowing I’ll be leaving soon and our adventures together will have to pause for now — but this is far from over 🌍 I’ll be waiting for you in Lebanon🇱🇧, ready to take you by the hand and show you my world the same way you made yours feel like home to me 💛 Until then, I’m already counting down to our next adventure together 🇦🇲✨ by @stepoutcamn

Ararat in the distance, my cross close to my heart. ✝️🏔️

Noravank ("New Monastery") is a 13th-14th century Armenian Apostolic monastery in Vayots Dzor, about 120 km south of Yerevan. It stands at the top of the Amaghu River gorge, among red cliffs that glow at sunset. It is Armenian, not Albanian, and always has been.
Main buildings
Surb Karapet (St. John the Baptist): the main church, early 1200s, built under the Orbelian princes.
Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God): built in 1339 by Momik, who was architect, sculptor, and manuscript illuminator. It's known for its two-story design and the narrow stone steps on its facade.
Khachkars: many carved cross-stones, several by Momik.
Proof it's Armenian
Inscriptions: walls and khachkars carry dedications in the Armenian alphabet (created in 405 AD), naming Armenian patrons, bishops, and builders.
Patrons: the Orbelians, a noble Armenian dynasty ruling Syunik, funded it. Prince Burtel Orbelian is named in the 1339 church's dedication.
Architect: Momik, an Armenian master, signed his work in Armenian.
Church role: it was a bishopric and a center of learning and manuscript copying for the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Homeland: Vayots Dzor is part of historic Syunik, an Armenian province populated by Armenians for centuries.
Continuous use: Armenian Apostolic services continue there today.
Why it's not Albanian
Caucasian Albania (ancient kingdom in today's Azerbaijan/Dagestan) was a separate kingdom, and its church came under Armenian Church authority around the 8th century. Noravank is in an Armenian province outside that kingdom, built centuries later by Armenian princes.
Balkan Albania (modern country) has Byzantine-style Orthodox and Catholic churches, unrelated to Noravank.
How to recognize an Armenian church
Armenian script in carved dedications. This is the most reliable sign.
Khachkars with lace-like patterns, usually in the yard.
Conical dome on a 12- or 16-sided drum, unlike the rounded Byzantine dome.
Tuff stone in pink, orange, red, or black, precisely cut.
Plan: cross-in-square with a gavit (vaulted entrance hall) and a raised altar platform, not a Byzantine iconostasis with frescoed interiors.
Blooming crosses with budding ends, often over a sun-like disc.

🐾🌊 Pure joy in motion! 🐕💦 Watching them leap into the waves without a second of hesitation 🌊🐕‍🦺, paddling through the water like they were born for it 🏊‍♂️🐩, tails wagging the whole time 🎉🐾! There's something about the freedom of dogs in the sea 🌅🐶 that just melts your heart 💕, no worries, no plans 🙅‍♀️, just salt water 🧂🌊, sunshine ☀️, and the kind of happiness that can't be faked 😍🐕. Some of my favorite moments are the simplest ones 🥹💛.
