BCKSPIN [13.11.26]

Five hours of house, UKG and tougher club music, upstairs in The Loft at Lakota. Powered by on1 audio.

Captain Wallop and Wodda sit at the centre of it. Two selectors connected by the raw swing, heavy bass and stripped-back drums running through Wodda’s Wheelspin Records, which opened with Captain Wallop’s Dubplate EP.

Sufi and IZZIT join them, with Stepped taking over the room across the night.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT ⭐

@lewistaylorr__ makes his Invite to party debut this september as we take to the @clockfactorybristol to throw Bristols biggest freshers event… 🛫

Who is Lewis Taylor ?

Lewis Taylor is a 24-year-old house DJ from the North East of England, fast becoming one of the most talked-about new names in UK house music. Blending sharp track selection with a calm, assured presence behind the decks, he’s gained support from Chris Stussy, Patrick Topping, Job Jobse, Interplanetary Criminal and beyond.

Recent releases on Up The Stuss and ATW have firmly cemented Lewis as one of the scene’s hottest rising artists, building on previous releases via Trick and X Coast’s Riviera Records. As this year’s Chris Stussy Scholarship artist, he continues to develop his sound with direct mentorship from one of house music’s key figures. With momentum accelerating into 2026, Lewis Taylor is a rising force with a breakout year firmly in sight.
