~Sourdough toasties 🥖

Sometimes, the most simplest things are the most tastiest. And this is the perfect example.

I love food. I always think about food, what to eat, where to eat. And having a toddler means thinking about food even more. The other aspects like nutrition, textures, flavours, variety. So I end up making a lot of new dishes for breakfast and dinner. Especially breakfast. Although Nishka enjoys it, my other baby craves for the simpler breakfasts. Like bread and butter. So, I decided to keep things simple this week. A lot of sourdough with avocado, peanut butter, cheese and eggs. Luckily for me, Nishka has started liking avo toast too!

This was breakfast today. Toasted sourdough with cheese and cherry tomatoes. And the other with peanut butter, sliced bananas and topped with roasted seeds. Simple, quick, tasty and sort of healthy? But definitely delicious! 🤩

Whats your favourite breakfast? 🤩

~Gochujang Shirataki Noodles 🍜

Some meals just prove that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring. 🍜✨

I finally gave shirataki noodles a try, and I completely understand the hype. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this bowl won me over from the first bite. Creamy, spicy, garlicky, loaded with protein, and coated in the most delicious gochujang sauce—it has everything I love in a comforting noodle bowl, just with a twist.

What I love most is that this doesn’t feel like a “healthy alternative.” It’s rich, flavourful, incredibly satisfying, and comes together in under 15 minutes. Perfect for those days when you’re craving comfort food but still want to keep things balanced. I have a feeling I’ll be making it on repeat. Maybe with different sauces too.

If you’ve been curious about shirataki noodles, consider this your sign to give them a try. Save this recipe for your next noodle craving, and let me know if you make it! 🍜❤️

Ive baked this multiple times, but never ended up clicking or styling them. This time around, I decided to style them and click some photos. And what makes this batch extra special is the fact that my toddler helped me in baking them. Check her page @littlemisscutiepai to see her in action! 🤩

~ Fluffy Banana Dates Bread 🍞 🍌

There’s something deeply comforting about baking a loaf of banana bread—especially when it’s eggless, so simple, and made with ingredients you already have at home. Well, most of them atleast.

Baking banana bread is a must whenever I have overripe bananas sitting on the counter, waiting to be transformed into something warm, soft, and delicious.

What I love most about this eggless banana bread is how effortlessly it comes together. No complicated steps, no fancy equipment—just a bowl, a blender and a little bit of patience while it bakes. The bananas do most of the heavy lifting here, adding natural sweetness and keeping the loaf incredibly moist, so you don’t even miss the eggs. The dates add a little more sweetness to make it just right.

As it bakes, the kitchen fills with that irresistible aroma—sweet, cozy, and slightly spiced if you’ve added a hint of cinnamon. It’s the kind of smell that makes you slow down, pour yourself a cup of coffee or chai, and look forward to that first warm slice.

This loaf is perfect for everything—morning breakfasts, mid-day snack cravings, or even a quick dessert. It’s wholesome enough to feel good about, yet indulgent enough to satisfy that sweet tooth. And if you’re baking for family, especially little ones, it’s a lovely way to sneak in something homemade and nourishing.

Every time I bake this, it disappears faster than I expect. Maybe it’s the simplicity, maybe it’s the nostalgia—but more than anything, it’s the joy of turning something so basic into something truly comforting.

If you have ripe bananas on hand, you already know what to do. 🍌

~ Chettinad Egg Curry 🍛

Sunday ho ya monday, roz khao ande! I for one, wouldn’t mind at all! I love eggs. In any form! Scrambled, boiled, fried, poached etc etc. One of the easiest and most tricky to cook (have you tried making poached eggs?!) but one of the most versatile ingredient to work with. Hands down!

I made this Chettinad egg curry a while ago. And I cannot find the exact recipe I followed back then. But, I will attempt to make it again soon because the flavours are right here on my mind. A little tangy, spicy and very aromatic!

If you really want the exact recipe, leave a comment here! And i’ll try to search for the recipe for you. 😋

Beetroot Waffles 🧇

Waffles but make them pink. Cause why not? These waffles are easy to make, delicious and healthy too! Well, definitely healthier than the store bought ones.

No sugar, no maida also makes it a toddler friendly snack. And the BEST part, you can even freeze them for upto 2 months! Yes you read that right. Just reheat it and you’re done. Its a perfect snack for those post nap hunger pangs. Nishka loves them so I always have a few in the freezer. And its such a help!

Leave a comment or DM if you’d like the detailed recipe. 💞

~ Creamy Oyster mushrooms with eggs 🍳

Necessity is the mother of invention. And this dish could not be more of an example. I was at my wits end on what to make for dinner as I headed to the kitchen. Opened the fridge to find some inspiration and came back with some oyster mushrooms, eggs and fresh cream. And voilà! Thats how this dish was created.

A very random addition of staple kitchen ingredients. But the result? A restaurant worthy dish! Think, creamy garlicky oyster mushrooms with soft, peppery eggs. Delicious! And the best part? It comes together so quickly!

A quick fix for midweek meals. Easy and delicious!

~ Mushrooms in Oyster sauce 🍄‍🟫 🦪🥘

Restaurant style Mushrooms in Oyster sauce. And I mean, fine dine restaurant style.Trust me, it was thaaat good!

Moving away from festive content, I thought Il share this recipe today. It’s so good and so easy, maybe you can give it a shot for your New Year dinner. Or lunch, cause we all know we crave for something delicious the day after a long night.

I had bought Oyster sauce and Soy sauce on our Japan trip last year. And Ive used it up pretty well. Oyster sauce chicken or noodles is something we order pretty often. I had mushrooms so tried out a vegetarian version. Hot, garlicky and perfectly umami! 🤩

What are your New Year Resolutions? 🤩

Made a classic hummus and turned it into a festive dish but shaping it like a wreath. Topped with some parsley, cherry tomatos and feta. Paired with salty biscuits and it was so good! 🤩
