Following The Sun 🌅

30 deg C still in June, sun is going down across Florence.

People lined up across the bridge. Buskers taking advantage of the crowd and set up shop.

Everyone can hear loose acoustic covers but no one is looking at them, they are watching this view.

The boat here has the best interrupted idea.

Most of the people were walking to or from dinner at this point, walking to work off the pasta or walking to work up the appetite for pasta.

Worth it? I think so for a picture. Otherwise, you can snap a quick picture like I did and find the nearest gelato spot on the way back to the hotel.

A Tuscan Table For Two ✌🏻

Atop the beautiful Hotel Reschio 🇮🇹

35 degrees Celsius.

Champagne sips cooling you down. Another Hugo Spritz ordered and on the way.

Fanning yourself with the menu until sun goes down.

You can’t stop looking at the view even the flavours keep you in your seat for dinner at Al Castello Di Reschio.

A Place Filled With History. Built For Future Generations 🍷

Had the pleasure of visiting @marchesiantinori, the home of the famous bottle of wine, Tignanello. They have been in operation for 26 generations. With their history reaching all the way back to the year 1385.

Does it look old? Is it lined with stone walls and ancient barrels? No.

They decided to build this modern architectural wonder to celebrate their longevity and build it for the future generations to enjoy.

It’s a good reminder that sometimes the most traditional things can take on new unconventional forms at any time.

Maybe what you are known for can be changed in a whole new groundbreaking direction if you can think big enough.

An Off-Roading Experience To Remember 💭

It’s not every day you are on a trail and can’t see what’s in front of you, especially just before you drop 2 feet off a boulder that your tire is on top of.

Thank you to Ford for such an amazing adventure.

You really feel in control with the technology in the new Ford Bronco models.

Some great pieces of Built-In Vehicle technology to check out:

✅ G.O.A.T. Modes. The Bronco Sport Badlands had two additional modes, “Rock Crawl” or “Rally” for optimized performance on different terrains. Rally was particularly fun and used it to rip around trails like you see in the photos. These modes came in so handy throughout so many different situations.

✅ Ford Trail Control: Acts as cruise control for off-roading, letting you set a slow speed and focus on steering. Perfect for when you want that extra bit of control.

✅Trail 1-Pedal Drive: Allows you to accelerate and brake by just using the accelerator pedal. It’s so convenient.

✅ Trail Turn Assist. Helps to tighten your turning radius on narrow trails by locking the inside rear wheel.

If you make a mistake, or your friend does, there are great recovery features that help get the stuck, “unstuck”. Toe hooks and that extra bit of ground clearance that the new Bronco Sport models have will definitely keep you having fun more on the trail than off of it.

Looking forward to the next adventure and if you ever get a chance to do this or even go off-roading, do it and thank yourself later.

Take the wheel.

In the Great Smoky Mountains outside Knoxville, Tennessee, there is a moment where instinct kicks in and the comfort zone of driving on even pavement dissappears.

I was lucky enough to experience hours of an incredible off-roading experience with @fordcanada. Showing the immense capability of an SUV you see drive next to on the highway, not knowing it can tackle some of the toughest terrain.

At the @broncooffroadeo, you find out what you and your new Ford Bronco are capable of. 2,000 square kms of roaming forest, hills, dirt, rivers await the bold or those who want to learn how to tackle them.

oasis in photos 📸 🤘🏻🎸

A day that I never knew would come. Seeing @oasis live. Not some cover band. The real deal.

With my brother no less. Something we have been waiting to complete for a long time. First Noel in Toronto, then Liam in the UK and now the trifecta is complete.

Raining half way through the concert was fitting because it was the only time where Liam dressed for the weather.

The bucket hat definitely came in handy that night too.

The New Ford Expedition Tremor Plays Dirty and Cleans Up Nice ⛰️🚘

An Expedition is going on a trip or journey with a goal in mind. So when @FordCanada brought me to Muskoka, the goal was to experience the new Ford Expedition Tremor in different ways to showcase the full capabilities of the big, spacious SUV.

Yes, on the highway you can use BlueCruise and drive the highway hands-free

Yes, the new Ford Digital Experience allows you to connect 10 devices to the wi-fi.

Yes, the comfort in the cabin makes for a nice refined but connected-to-the-road experience.

But, what if you are tired of the city, grid lock and you want to let loose, the Tremor has just what you need.

It wants to get muddy, dirty, and the car washes will need to be more frequent. But, knowing you can take this big family suv and turn it loose on an off-road experience is truly impressive.

We took a trip to @oro.station and went over obstacles, hill ascents, logs, shifting and sliding weight to find traction, all while knowing where the tires were on the path through the Ford Digital Experience.

Quite the fun day.

Sometimes Death Is A Part Of Business 🥀

One thing that they don’t teach you in business is that if are working long enough, you are going to have to deal with death of some kind in some way.

⚫️ Someone’s business closes
⚫️ Someone’s partner passes
⚫️ Even your client passes

All of the above I have had to deal with firsthand with my businesses.

It’s something that hits me really hard because I work with them to support what they really love to do and are passionate about and all just abruptly stops. Most of the time without any warning.

It feels like a friend passing and most of the time, it is.

This is one of the hardest realities of doing business and building such great relationships over time with people you love talking to and collaborating with.

For those I’ve lost along the way, you have a place to stay with me in my thoughts.

Thank you for being a good listener to me today.

Driving A Truck Around A Race Track In Tremblant 🛻🏁

I was invited by @fordcanada for a truly unique pickup truck experience.

The new Ford Maverick LOBO is something else. With the lowered performance-tuned suspension it can rip through a chicane on a race track and then 30 minutes later, pick up lumber and groceries on the way home.

The capabilities and functionality of these trucks are getting insane.

I was on LOBO mode the whole time and I was blasting Jennifer Lopez from the Bang & Olufsen speakers on Sirius XM from the 13.2” touchscreen while feeling planted to the track. A pretty unique truck experience, I would say.

For something new that costs less than a used truck (starting at $44,295) this little fun pickup has all the great amenities, but just so much more.
