⭐️Running for Vancouver City Council with the Vote Vancouver Party 2026.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that I am running for City Council with Rebecca Bligh and the Vote Vancouver Party.
While working intensively in our housing market over the last few decades, I previously lacked the flexibility to pursue public office. However, my passion and desire to give back have only grown. I believe the most effective way to be a positive force right now is to serve on council and help the people of Vancouver.
Vancouver faces three incredibly challenging, interwoven issues: housing, substance abuse, and crime. Success in these areas requires a comprehensive plan and urgent collaboration across departments to reduce harm and drive results.
If elected, I promise to:
• Increase collaboration among elected and appointed city leaders.
• Create more transparency and share information as openly as legally possible.
• Act strictly in the best interests of the citizens of Vancouver.
In my professional life, I have worked with all levels of government staff and elected leaders. I believe leadership needs to deliver performance, not just promises. We must focus on what we are elected to do, taking full responsibility for our local progress.
With Rebecca Bligh, Vote Vancouver has a trustworthy, experienced mayoral candidate who will build on her two terms as councillor to drive positive change. Supporting small businesses and the arts, ensuring access to all transportation options, and advocating for public order will be central to our campaign.
Early support makes all the difference in campaigns. If you are interested in supporting, please consider:
1. Signing up as a Vote Vancouver member- access campaign updates and events, volunteer opportunities: https://www.votevancouver.ca/membership-steve-jedreicich
2. Contributing financially to help us reach voters across the city. To donate to my campaign personally: https://www.votevancouver.ca/donate-stevejedreicich
I look forward to meeting our neighbours, hearing your concerns and earning your support. Please use the links to get in touch!

Meet Steve Jedreicich, candidate for Vancouver City Council with Vote Vancouver.

@stevejed2026 has spent decades working in real estate development, architecture and construction, helping plan and deliver housing, commercial spaces and communities across Metro Vancouver.

After calling Vancouver home for more than 20 years, he’s bringing that experience to a conversation he knows well: how we plan, approve and build the housing and neighbourhoods our city needs.

Steve believes Vancouver can improve permit turnaround times while still expecting high-quality projects and creating better opportunities for residents to be heard before major decisions are made.

For him, better government also means better communication.

Too many residents and businesses feel like decisions are made at City Hall without enough listening. Steve’s stated approach is to ask questions, hear concerns and focus on practical decisions that improve how the city works.

His priorities include thoughtful planning, responsible growth, more efficient decision-making, and ensuring infrastructure and services keep pace as neighbourhoods change.
