Good advice from my younger brother, Ned (Michael DeSanta of GTA-V) Luke. Great advice for those of us, young and old, coaches! If you’re a young coach, cherish every opportunity and realize there is still a lot to learn. If the wrinkles and gray hair have creeped in, cherish every remaining opportunity and realize there is STILL a lot to learn! JMO. by @steveluke32

The addition of Seth to the Redbird family paid dividends for both the program and the individual! Although all outdoors it seemed like we were getting chased by rain every week, we still managed to put up some good numbers. Six meets with clearances of 5.20 or better and three with clearances of 5.30. With both Seth and Heath Hawkins returning plus the addition of two quality freshman incoming, things look bright for the Redbirds! by @steveluke32

To say that, I’m pretty proud of this group of red birds would be a huge understatement! The records, the top 10 performances, and the personal best aside. This group is one of the most cohesive and hard-working groups. I’ve ever had the honor to Coach! We’re gonna miss Isabelle and her presence and influence will be hard to replace! But with the returners coming back and the ones that we’re adding on next year should be another great year for Redbird PoleVault! It ain’t over yet, so let’s get on the plane Seth, and go do something at the first round! ROLL BIRDS! by @steveluke32

The Red Birds had a good time in Arkansas with the results including a new school record outdoors for Seth Nelson at 5.30 (his third school record of the year), along with opening height PR’s by Isabelle, Heath, and Seth! Now it’s back to work! Roll Birds! by @steveluke32

Capping off a great day for the Redbirds at the Gibson invitational with Seth and Heath! Heath with a massive 4.96 jump for a solid fourth place finish and as close a miss as you can get at 5.06! Seth followed suit with a 5.21 clearance to win and a near miss at 5.31! Great day for the Redbird Vaulters!!! by @steveluke32
