Today marked a milestone in my career but more than that a leap in evolution for the Houston Texans. This project was all hands on deck the past few weeks. As our design team, social, video, marketing, production, and everyone else put forth all efforts to get this launch off the ground today. Designing the H logo for the Texans has been an incredibly honored and enriching experience, one that I will cherish forever. It’s not every day that a designer gets the chance to leave their mark on a logo representing a beloved sports team and their city, for the team that they work for. From the inception of the project, I felt a deep sense of responsibility and pride in crafting a mark that would resonate with the team’s legacy and the passion of its fans. Undoubtedly, designing for a high-profile entity like the Houston Texans comes with its share of scrutiny and varied opinions. Not everyone may immediately embrace the design, and thats ok. But it’s about more than just aesthetics; it’s about capturing the spirit and energy of Houston and its culture. As this secondary H logo takes its place among the rest of the sports world, I am reminded of the profound impact design can have in uniting communities and fostering pride. It’s been an extraordinary journey, and I am humbled to have played a part in it. Thank you @dvosik for giving a kid from Arkansas a chance. Happy Birthday Grizzly bear! Can’t believe you are 1 year old. From the countless back talk, the torn toilet paper, and endless fur you have been a joy to create memories with. Here’s to many many more! Love ya bud! Thanks to @zoetaylorvideo for the quick turn on the video for me! Killed it. Couldn’t have picked a better song! #husky #huskypuppy #huskylife #puppy #dogsofinstagram #puppylove #siberianhusky #huskyvideo #huskyheaven #siberianhuskypuppy #puppiesofinstagram #puppiesofinstagram #huskylove #huskynation #puppylove #puppygram by @steven_overturf

LinkedIn saw it first... A new chapter, a new city. After half a year at Celsius, I’ve officially made the move to Dallas, Texas and stepped into a new role as a Creative Director for the @ppatour and @majorleaguepb The past year has brought a lot of change, uncertainty, and reflection. My career has taken a few different turns along the way, but I’ve learned there’s a lot of value in continuing to move forward, staying open to what’s next, and seeing where the road takes you. Now I’m back in sports and jumping into one of the fastest-growing sports in the world. There’s a ton of energy and momentum behind pickleball right now, and I’m excited to get to work and see where this next chapter goes. Let’s see what Dallas has in store. This was the last photo we took together years ago. I’m not sure exactly what you were telling me in that moment, but knowing you it probably had something to do with letting God direct my steps. You were the heart and leader of our family. A man of God, tough but funny, and full of life. Losing you isn’t easy but I’m thankful for the example you set and the legacy you left behind. Love you, Grandpa. See you in Glory. by @steven_overturf

From the heart of Houston, straight to the 50-yard line. This past Sunday was a game to remember. Marking the culmination of two years of hard work - leading up to THIS uniform and THIS moment. Seeing the H and H-Town colors take the field was unforgettable. A day a designer dreams of. Being a small part of designing something so meaningful for this city is a moment I’ll never forget. Total team effort across the org. H-TOWN 23-20 BILLS. Thanks as always to @dvosik for giving me this opportunity to be a part of NFL history. Shoutout @thezeetee and @jordan.mckendrick for always taking HOT photos! #HTownMade #HoustonTexans #Texans #LogoDesign #HsUp #NFL #Uniform taken in Houston, Texas by @steven_overturf
