HIGH TIDE RAISES ALL BOATS

We’re stoked to announce that @penguizard will be stepping into the role of master of the low end. Bryan has done an amazing job with filling in for @willdean88 when he had to step away unexpectedly early for the arrival of his daughter Mia. Bryan stepped up and learned over 20 songs in less than two weeks to play a couple of shows with us.

He was then platooned over the last year and covered a lot of ground with us on bass but man we didn’t see his guitar playing skills coming that hard in the paint when he sat in for @johnnycarlisle21 @thecrack_outback

We’re over the moon that he’s joining us on the go forward for SBB and we’re excited to see what the studio brings us late this year.

Cheers BeBe!

SAX IS BACK

We’re excited to introduce our new friend @brandon.kidd.5621 to the SBB fold playing sax and a litany of other percussive instruments.

Brandon introduced himself to us at a @madlifestage patio show and we knew we wanted to utilize him as soon as possible. Vibes were high!

Brandon played a full show with us at our @qualusivineyards debut a couple of months ago and will be at the 9/25 coming up. He also played with us on a surprise sit in @thecrack_outback and we knew we had to make this something we could experience as often as possible.

We can’t wait for this next chapter of SBB and we’re excited that he’s coming for the ride for the foreseeable future.

Thanks B! by @stevenbrooksmusic

ANOTHER TIDE CHANGES

We’re saying fare thee well to our brother, friend, bandmate and holder of the low end @willdean88

Will gave us six years and helped with the first transition of The Steven Brooks Band from our founding members to the incredible journey we embarked on there after.

Some of the most iconic stages in the area for our level of band, two live records and countless shows. We felt like troubadours and we loved it that way. From duo shows to full band ensembles, we covered the spread on performances and grew deeply intertwined musically and I have the utmost appreciation for the time spent and dedication to the craft.

The amount I grew as a musician alone from this relationship is boundless and we want to say THANK YOU for this opportunity to spend so much time and growth together.

We wish Will and his family nothing but the best and look forward to the day we reunite on stage in whatever form that looks like.

We love you, Will. We’re gonna miss the hell out of you. by @stevenbrooksmusic

END OF AN ERA

Our dear friend and bandmate @johnnycarlisle21 is stepping away from the band for an indefinite hiatus.

Johnny gave us four solid years and shared countless stages and milestones with us. We hate to see him go but love to see him make a decision that’s good for his soul.

Johnny will always have a spot in this band just as the others that have invested time to make the Steven Brooks Band what it is today.

We wish him well and send a huge THANK YOU for being part of this with us and for pushing us to be better musicians and people along the way.

We love you, Johnny. We will see you on down the road. 🤍 by @stevenbrooksmusic
