Good coaching isn’t just setting up a drill and telling players where to go.

It’s seeing the little things. Knowing when to stop the session and make a correction. Knowing when to let a player figure it out. Asking questions instead of always giving the answer. And understanding how to teach the same idea differently depending on the player in front of you.

That’s coaching IQ.

The goal isn’t to create players who can memorize drills. It’s to develop players who understand the game, recognize situations, make decisions, and know why they’re doing what they’re doing.

We’re not just getting reps in. We’re teaching the game.
